Like was said here before, Mosley baked the cake, Pac put the icing on it, and Cotto ate it. Kinda corny, but it fits. Cotto was the last fight Marg had, therefore, Cotto retired him.

Martinez - Chavez jr - Martinez is not the same, he will be out for another year still trying to recover from the damage he took in the chavez fight.

Cotto - Margarito - Cotto never was the same after Margarito gave Cotto that beatdown and personally I think the damage done was more mental then anything else.

Pacquaio - Margarito - Margarito was still fresh and still is fresh but that Broken eye Pacquaio gave him is the definition of retiring someone.

Kirkland - Angulo - Angulo just hasnt look as sharp nor does it seem his punch resistence is as solid as it used to be, could be a combination of the long lay off limited opposition since his comeback but I think Kirkland beat the prime out of Angulo.

Chavez sr - Taylor - Taylor was never the same after the 12 round savage beating he had to endure.

Abraham - Froch - Abraham has not looked the same after that fight, he always been a limited fight but now more so, he got the fight beaten out of him in a embarssing fashion.

Marquez - Katsidis - Katsidis was just picked apart with solid shot after solid shot and the damage he took in that fight took its tool, Katsidis hasnt been the same since.

That isn't corny, that's exactly what happened. As a matter of fact Margs wasn't the same after his first scrap with Cotto either.

We could all go to boxrec and list guys last fights. Lol. but in the Margarito-Cotto case id say its true. Cotto sealed the deal on Tonys eye and career.

Cotto had every possible advantage and Pacquiao created the stoppage for him. Cotto didnt ruin ****.

Cotto was never the same after Marg pummeled him...

Following that fight he got a gift decision over Clottey, then he got beaten up even worse by Pacquiao. Then he had 3 straight wins over low level competition to build him up as a PPV attraction again and then he came down to earth against Floyd.

Anyway....Meldrick Taylor post Chavez Sr. Never the same. That was an actual career ender.
not really, Taylor had the 2nd best win of his career one year after Chavez

Ishida was already done... Mosley was already done.

Rigo over Donaire and Matthysse over PEDerson.
