The main reason for this is because the population of America is close to 314 million and the population of the UK and Denmark combined is about 70 million. Unless your name is Klitschko, theres more money and fans to be made in America plain and simple. There is no Doubt that Andre Ward would easily beat Kessler or Froch on the road, but to do so at the expense of his fanbase would be crazy. For instance, a fight across the pond will have a start time of about 5pm in the States and most people are still working, as there is no such thing as a weekend anymore. Its going to be very hard to get the American people to watch a tape delay when they already know the outcome from outlets like boxingscene. And then consider that successful rematches in America are usually from questionable decisions or from the first fight being memorable... Froch and Kessler were not even close to fit either description. Does anybody think that Robert Guerrero would beat Mayweather in a rematch? That's the chances that Most would give Froch or Kessler in a rematch with Ward. I think Froch and Kessler are true old school fighters and respect them both, but they need a reality check on whos the Boss.

Look, Ward loves to headbutt and rabbit punch, and any other nasty tactic he can get by with. And he loves being protected by Goosen at home. Let's see the guy take on Froch in England or Kessler in Denmark. LET'S SEE WHAT HE'S MADE OF!!!

i guess he could be worried about getting robbed, but they can put together an international group of judges and get a neutral ref.
the real issues are hbo and money. if hbo is cool with it, and they money is good, i don't see a problem.

Now they cry about their own ****** decision and put it on Ward like it's his fault they don't know a good fighter like Ward from a **** fighter like Kessler or Abraham
2) Sauerland says Ward must travel, what he doesn't say is that they are ****** Euros who value their paper titles highly. They will insist Ward isn't the draw in Denmark and doesn't have any titles, and offer him a pathetic purse to come there.
3) American TV only pays good money for these fights if they air in primetime in the US which means if its Denmark it has to go off at 4am or so to get big American TV money. HBO is paying peanuts to tape delay tomorrow's fight.
4) Why should Ward honor these guys with a rematch in Europe when they were sore, excuse making, disrespectful losers the first time around? The whole bunch of mental midgets starting with Kessler think they were screwed when really they were just beaten down by a far superior fighter.
I can guarantee if Ward goes there that Kessler's team will be looking to exact their revenge outside the ring since the fighter stands 0% chance of winning without outside help.
Froch would be more likely to get one in the UK, at least he was man enough to admit he was beaten by a better man that night.
#2 Ward would be well paid in Denmark or England. Anyone with half a brain can figure that out.
#3 So, lemmee get this straight... if they fought in Denmark it would have to air in the U.S. at 4am. So IOW, you're saying, they would SPECIFICALLY fight at 10am in Denmark, just to make the Americans stay up til 4am to see it live. What f ing planet are you from? Do you not even know Europe is 6 hours ahead of U.S. time?
#4 Both Kessler and Froch said Ward won. There were complaints about Ward's incessant head butts, but both guys admitted they were beaten. And how do you guarantee Ward gets 'revenge' 'exacted outside the ring' if he goes to Europe?
What fairyland do you live in anyway?

Deal with it'? All great champions defend outside their country. That's why it's called world champion and not Oakland champion. Likeliness is that Ward will probably beat them again, but he needs to return the favour as a true champion would do. Plus he'd probably double, if not triple his highest purse.

What will you Euro posters say about Ward when he goes to Europe and whoops either guy again, nice and easy like the first time?
When was the last time Mayweather won a fight outside the US?
When was the last time Pac demanded an opponent come to the Phillipines to beat him?
Kessler and Froch are both good fighters, but they both know Ward will whoop each of their asses again if provided the chance, which is why the winner of this fight will make a ****ty as$ offer to Ward and then call it the contract of the millenium as they run and hide.

I thought the officiating in the Ward-Kessler fight was disgusting. Ward should've had points taken away for holding; and Ward's claim that the headbutts were unintentional was disingenuous at best.
I still think Ward would beat Kessler in a rematch but expect a better fight if those tactics are neutralized by the ref.
