1) Sauerland is a *****, the only reason Kessler fought Ward in the States in the first place is because Sauerland was more concerned with making sure Abraham fought Taylor in Germany because they thought Ward was a joke and no match for Kessler. Now they cry about their own ****** decision and put it on Ward like it's his fault they don't know a good fighter like Ward from a **** fighter like Kessler or Abraham

2) Sauerland says Ward must travel, what he doesn't say is that they are ****** Euros who value their paper titles highly. They will insist Ward isn't the draw in Denmark and doesn't have any titles, and offer him a pathetic purse to come there.

3) American TV only pays good money for these fights if they air in primetime in the US which means if its Denmark it has to go off at 4am or so to get big American TV money. HBO is paying peanuts to tape delay tomorrow's fight.

4) Why should Ward honor these guys with a rematch in Europe when they were sore, excuse making, disrespectful losers the first time around? The whole bunch of mental midgets starting with Kessler think they were screwed when really they were just beaten down by a far superior fighter.

I can guarantee if Ward goes there that Kessler's team will be looking to exact their revenge outside the ring since the fighter stands 0% chance of winning without outside help.

Froch would be more likely to get one in the UK, at least he was man enough to admit he was beaten by a better man that night.

Actually Kessler said in a recent interview that he feel he would have lost to Ward that night, regardless of the headbutting and the hitting-Holding-hitting-holding. Ward was the better man that night he felt.

if you're not from the US you might not understand the autonomy with which the states operate and exist. new jersey is ~3000 miles from california.

if they can air it live during prime american fight TV time (10-12:30 est, roughly,) and HBO is ok with it, and the money is better, i don't see the issue.

i guess he could be worried about getting robbed, but they can put together an international group of judges and get a neutral ref.

the real issues are hbo and money. if hbo is cool with it, and they money is good, i don't see a problem.

I completely agree. All these lions travel to get the job done and Ward should have to do the same.

The bottom line is, unless there was a close "robbery" kind of fight, they've got nothing to complain about. He defeated them convincingly, home cooking was not needed.

Now if they feel they would fight better on their home turf because of the climate and maybe hoping that Ward performance is a bit off because of jet leg or something, then that's another thing.

Best thing about the people saying it's fine for Ward to only fight at home are probably the same people who'd complain that some fighters don't travel to the USA.

I'd like to see Ward take on either of these guys overseas. No doubt, fair or not, he's got a homebody rep, and the only way to shut the critics is to beat Kessler or Froch over in Europe.

I thought the officiating in the Ward-Kessler fight was disgusting. Ward should've had points taken away for holding; and Ward's claim that the headbutts were unintentional was disingenuous at best.

I still think Ward would beat Kessler in a rematch but expect a better fight if those tactics are neutralized by the ref.
