One of the principles in law is being innocent until proven guilty (evidence is required to assure culpability). Margarito is until now the boxer that hold the record of throwing more punches for a Compubox recorded combat: the amount was close to 1500 punches which averages little more than 120 blows/round. Margarito was also known for having a legendary resistance or iron chin besides a sense of bravery (know as "heart") beyond any doubt as was the case when he faced Pacquiao. By the way, Pacquiao should be the one claiming to send Margo to retirement (no Cotto like some misinform). It doesn't seem logical at all that a guy known for his high punching volume, endurement to punishment and bravery had resource to use "plaster-based precursor material" to develop his career. In fact, logic dictates that a guy with loaded gloves would require less number of punches to inflict damage in his opponents rather than increasing his volume. I believe than Miguel Cotto really lost vs Margarito due to known problems related to stamina and a bad strategy. Cotto refused to have a revenge wiht Margo immediately after his defeat and he even quoted that "he was not going to give the mex the opportunity to make a penny using his name again" in what appeared to be an act of dignity and integrity accusing Margo as being dishonest. However, years later, after Margo was damaged by Pacquiao (and Bob Arum had to use 5 different ophtalmologist to try to get Margo again licenced to fight) then Cotto "got brave enough" to accept the rematch and all of the sudden Miguel forgot his dignity and integrity. And let's not forget that the second fight was very close to be cancelled and/or changed from venue (MSG) since the NY commision "cared so much" for Margo's eye but at the end it was licenced thanls to uncle Bob power$$. Something else is just speculation and lame excuse to try to attenuate why Cotto lost against Margo.Comment

I agree, and this bum cheater had been proven guilty in the Mosley fight, that's all I need to know. Sorry but I don't consider a fighter who puts bricks in his gloves to fight a 40 years old man courageous, I consider that being a pus**Comment

Thank God, i have no love for Margarito but you never want to see a fighter be turned into a one eyed Mexican Piñata karma already did enough to him.Comment

I was making reference to other fights beside the Mosley's. The report is that Mosley's team member Hassim (or whatever his name is) found an anomaly namely the precursor of plaster substance but the fight went on and later came a suspension of a year for Margo. However, assuming that the mex did it all the time or most of the time is only a speculation. I never heard the fans of Sergio Martinez (who lost by KO vs. Margo) assuring that Sergio lost due to "loaded gloves", etc. etc. It has been mainly Cotto's followers who always have used the argument of loaded gloves as a cheap excuse of the defeat of his idol. One of the principles in law is being innocent until proven guilty (evidence is required to assure culpability)
