He doesn't teach proper in fighting. Or inside defense.

That would've been a great move for JuanMa.

As for Diaz's comments: Pedro is literally a gentleman and a scholar. He made some classy, perhaps even inadvisable, comments. Proclaiming that Roach is the best coach in the world doesn't exactly raise Diaz's stock. Nonetheless, Pedro is a stand-up guy.

I think Diaz is the perfect fit for Cotto. MC can go with whatever trainer and it won't help him. He is what he is. It's too late in his career to be changing trainers in search for answers that no trainer can provide.

Dumb move by Cotto. Diaz made him fights better defensively.

Unless he's just doing it to continue learning and improving his game with different styles, then this is kind of a baffling move...

Good boxers gives a trainer a name

Manny Pacquiao gave Freddy Roach a marquee name in the sport of boxing. Freddy is not going to make Miguel Cotto a better boxer. Miguel is on the decline, he fades in every fight. Miguel quit now before you end up getting hurt.

Cotto has never been a fast fisted fighter..so of course a coach whose the king of offense suits him best. Let's be honest here..Cotto defensively is too slow and has been for years..he still throws combos like he's 26 which isn't the case. It's time for a new approach because what he was using with Diaz would only work against slow fighters.

Diaz is the best trainer in the sport, look at all those Olympians he has trained. Didn't he mold Ringadeux into what he is today? Which is to put it nicely a beast!

                    What a class act!
Cotto should stay with Pedro Diaz though.

Cotto needs to stay put. Freddie Roach will not be a good fit for an already battered Cotto. Cotto does however need a good conditioning coach so he can move back down to WW.
