I think any top level guy with good technical skills, decent speed and quickness, and good lateral and head movement is gonna give Lucas fits. Whether he be southpaw or orthodox. Key thing is they're gonna have to be able to handle his power. Because with all of his limitations, he's got fast hands and can crack. So unless you've got Floyd Mayweather type defensive skills, you're probably not gonna make it 12rds without getting touched. And I doubt Floyd makes it 12 clean rds.

Lucas has an impressive victory against Peterson that has created a lot of buzz. Peterson has been knocked down early in fights and Lucas made sure he kept him down.
Garcia's jab is going to trouble Lucas more than more ppl think here. Not saying that Garcia would be the favorite in that fight but it is not going to be a walk in the park for LucasComment

Hope this fight comes about a lot of action but got to disagree with Schaefer with his statement that Garcia is the most underrated fighters in boxing and as far as being counted out if there is a fighter who has been underrated and counted out its been Juan Manuel Marquez he has been counted out for almost five years now critics were sayin he wouldn't get past Juan Diaz now look he almost at the top of the sport at almost forty years old that's impressive.Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has no intention of waiting any longer. He wants to make a junior welterweight showdown between WBA/WBC champion Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) and mandatory challenger Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) on September 7th.

You could be right. But to me, it seems there's a pattern since his L's were both southpaws that had good movement & could box. But if he fights Garcia, we won't get to see that....I think any top level guy with good technical skills, decent speed and quickness, and good lateral and head movement is gonna give Lucas fits. Whether he be southpaw or orthodox. Key thing is they're gonna have to be able to handle his power. Because with all of his limitations, he's got fast hands and can crack. I doubt it as well that Floyd makes it without getting touched if they fight. But then the question would be could Matthysse carry his pop up to 147?Comment

this is a fight that could make or break either one of them. this year's alexander vs bradley, with the winner getting a bid into the floyd sweepstakes. team garcia needs to let this happen.Comment
