    Floyd & 154 & Politics

So I keep hearing people talk about how Floyd would be a duck if he didn't fight canelo, but if people were honest with themselves no one really thinks canelo is anywhere near floyds skill level, they only want the fight because he will outweigh floyd by almost 25 pounds. And as much as people hate Floyd deep down that shows how great he really is in their eyes. No other boxer p4p fighter now or ever is held to the same standard period.

Now with Canelo people give this guy to many passes. The only 154 pound fighter he has fought is trout. While a great win styles make fights. That's why when people say well Marquez got whooped by Floyd and Floyd whooped Marquez so he doesn't have to fight Pac it's bs. While I don't think Floyd ducked Manny, and it has lost some luster, it still makes for a great fight

Now my finally thoughts Canelo needs to play his position to many boxers now days are getting the easy route, love of hate floyd he earned his dues and when he fought Oscar he gave in to ever single demand, and that's the only reason he fought at 154. And the cotto fight was an example of a ww fighting another ww at 154 and Floyd knew this, but by no means does cotto belong at 154, I mean seriously imagine cotto fighting a guy like Angulo. Floyd even gave in to gatti demands to get the fight as well. Now days guys like Khan, Broner, Canelo, are calling all the shots on big fights and hasn't done much in the sport but bring money and it's sad because to many guys work there a$$ off to get to that position and politics keeps them from that spot.

Stop using logic it's not allowed around here. I think Floyd should and will fight Canelo @154 so there won't be excuses.

lol I think he will too, I want to see the fight myself but if he was 147 pounder no one would really think he had a chance. He would just be another "Cherry Pick"

This has nothing to do with Guerrero and I do think Guerrero has shown more in the fights he has had, we don't really know how good nelo is because in every fight he has had a advantage in size. Only fight we can rate him on is the trout fight and honestly he didn't look like the same guy who beat down Lopez he looked gun shy. But back to the point. In your eyes is canelo skills set anywhere near floyds. If so explain how.

beating trout is way impressive than any Guerroro's previous opponents! you keep pointing that Canelo is no where near the skills of floyd then why did he fight Guerrero? Ortiz? Floydiots are in ducking move again! lol! quack! quack! quack! lol

Wow you really need too check out your facts. Berto, Aydin, Katsidis, Were all guys that Roberto fought moving up in weight and known punchers and he handled them Even Casamayor and Litzua were quality opponents when he fought them. Now I'm not saying Trout wasn't a good win, my point is, that's his only good win and in the fight he didn't look like the dominate guy we saw when he was fighting smaller guys. Some can even argue trout won off activity because Nelo wasn't even throwing much. I gave him the fight because he landed the meaningful punches but don't act like it was impressive how he won.

I wasn't really making this all about Floyd if you read the entire thing it was more about the hypocrisy in boxing

Floyd should fight Canelo at 154. If he wants to have a re hydration clause that says Canelo can't be over 170 or something, I'm cool with that.
