Should We Get Prepared for Mayweather vs Khan in September?

Really tough spot there, if he really fights in September, there is only Canelo that would generate alot of hype/money, but Floyd is not about taking risks and he wants to keep Canelo as his retirement fight or something so we have at least one legit opponent for Floyd left, and he might never fight him at all, same endless story as with Pacman.
But who is there besides Canelo? The only other guys that would generate some money and attention would be Garcia, Khan or Matthysse. Khan has his Ramadan and cant fight in sept, Matthysse and Garcia should fight each other in september. Maybe that forces Floyd to fight Canelo and they hope that another big victim emerges probably Matthysse if (or do i have to say when) he beats (ktfo) Garcia.
Alexander is crap, i dont think that fight is marketable, but it would be quite amusing to see the disastrous ppv numbers.
If you ask me he and he doesnt want to fight Canelo just yet, he can fight GGG @154 if he looks amazing against Macklin, but that risk is even higher than Canelo, so no way he will do it, Floyd is looking for smaller dudes with shorter reach.Last edited by Jubei; 05-20-2013, 07:14 PM.Comment

Gotta admit, it was kind of hard to get past this...In my honest opinion, Floyd/Alexander is a legit fight. 2 welterweight champions unifying. There's nothing wrong with that.

And them? The flobroners of course!Comment

And Ortiz had a loss and a draw. He quit against Maidana. He had Peterson in deep water and gave him a get out of jail free card.
Guerrero lost to Salido and Diaz. Salido tested positive but was later cleared. And Guerrero quit against Yordan which was an NC.
Guerrero and Ortiz lost/quit against much lesser fighters and Alexanders previous 6 fights were against much higher levels of competition than Ortiz and Guerrero have faced their entire careers.
Neither Ortiz or Guerrero would go through Devon's resume without a couple of losses. So if he fought bum after bum, then beat Berto he would all of the sudden be worthy?
If they got the opportunity, he should to. It's that simple. He meets GBP/Floyd Mayweather's criteria as a worthy opponent. He shouldn't be passed over just because of fighting style/marketability reasons. Which isn't an excuse anyways because he sells more tickets in St. Louis than Guerrero does in Cali.Comment

Funny how you only quoted the 1st paragraph while totally dismissing the rest. That post goes together. if you pick it apart like you've tried, then you get what you got. Which is (you being delusional) about what I posted.
I don't see how my post helps a flobroners argument. If you read and understand it of course. Furthermore i am not a Floyd fan, nor a Broner fan. But someone who doesn't know what he's talking about wouldn't know that.Comment

The fact is a unification bout is legit. No matter how a hater, (that would be you), tries to claim it isn't.

Dunno about that, you seem to defend the guy and his assmuncher fans a lot...anyhow, the point being that fights like this are absolute garbage. What is the point in supposedly the worlds greatest and highest paid fighter doing having fights like this and RG, and Ortiz and charging ****** money to watch it. Attaching a couple of worthless trinkets to it doesnt make it any better either. It is what it is....an absolute turkey of a fight, and thats not 'hatin(lol)' as you put it. Its a fact.
If you read the rest of the original post. You'd know I don't think too highly of the fight.
But it all goes back to my original point. You don't know about what you be typing.Comment

justifying an Alexander fight on the basis that Ortiz and guerrero fights ******....the world has officially gone mad.
maybe the question is to why Floyd continues to pick such limp opposition. Devon does not deserve the fight at all, the guy got beat by Bradley, Lucas and kotelnik, and flat out stunk the joint out against Bailey.
Alexander is so bad, that he's the one guy besides Paulie that I'm certain khan would beat.
