It's either Garcia or Matthyse while Canelo fights Cotto as a co-feature than they will fight next Cinco De Mayo I think that ha always been the plan.

If Canelo/Cotto are fighting on the undercard then Floyd can pick Paul Spadafora because the pay per view is doing good numbers anyway..

it'll be Floyd vs Canelo.. He's not fighting anyone at 147 because he just fought Guerrero at 147.. Floyd's been going back & forth from 147 to 154 ever since he fought victor ortiz and won the 147lb wbc title then he went up and fought cotto for the wba super jr middleweight title.. He just defended his 147 title now he's gonna defend his 154 title, plus Floyd already said during his prefight conference call to the guerrero fight that he wants to defend his 154 pound title next.. Canelo is the only fight that makes sense on september 14th because it's a mexican holiday, canelo wants to fight on that day and specifically wants to fight Floyd and canelo isnt gonna do a split site undercard bout to floyd's fight.. Also Espinoza also said that Floyd wants to fight canelo and canelo wants to fight floyd.. the negotiations for the fight have already been confirmed..Lets just say that Floyd is fighting at 147 (which he won't) it wouldnt be danny garcia because garcia already said that he wasnt moving up to 147 yet plus why would garcia be present at the matthysse vs peterson fight if he was in negotiations for a floyd fight??, it wont be alexander because alexander wont sell on a mexican holiday plus has a broken hand, it wont be matthysse or khan either..There gonna match Khan with alexander at 147 so therefore if khan wins he'll be a world champ when he meets floyd.. all of those guys are at 140 and there NOT gonna let any of them jump to 147 and have there first fight at that weight against Floyd Mayweather..The vast majority of boxing fans are plain ****** seeing it any other way!!

That would be ****** for a guy who's supposed to be incredibly smart about his business. If he waits until after Garcia/Matthysse, Mayweather can fight the winner and get a hell of a lot more credit. The winner of that fight, no matter which of them it is, will have hype off the charts.

I'm still of the opinion that Mayweather's fighting Alvarez. I don't know why he would duck the ginger. He's the biggest money fight, and the biggest threat, but he's likely not good enough to seriously trouble Mayweather. It's perfect.

Matthysse has all this hype now, imagine if he's coming off smoking Garcia? Imagine a Garcia fight if Garcia smokes Matthysse? That's all anyone would talk about around here. Waiting would be best, unless Mayweather really is that determined not to fight Alvarez

I truly don't care about Floyd's ppv fights. I use his ppv sales in arguments to detail who is the bigger draw, but Bradley, Pac, Marquez, Alexander, Matthysse, Garcia, and Canelo are all deserving-draws or not.

None of those guys can beat Floyd. They don't have the style to.

Cotto would sell like crazy especially since so many people hyped it up AFTER the fight, saying Cotto gave Floyd a beating, insinuating it was much closer than what it really was.

That actually wouldn't be a bad matchup anyways, despite Cotto losing his last 2 fights. Defend the 154 belt against the man you took it from. They're both "naturally" smaller than you're typical 154 lb champ.

Cotto & Canelo would be fun fights. Lucas would be a pretty HYPED fight because of his KO%, but realistically I don't think he does to Floyd what he's done to others. It'd be very exciting, however, because the style of Lucas is that he very obviously wants to take your head off. Near misses with his kind of known power would have the crowds at home & at the MGM going "OOOOOOH" after every miss lol.

Whoever it is, bank on it selling over 1million, yet again. Floyd Mayweather is the Miami Heat of boxing. Most polarizing, most liked/disliked figure in his sport. Not coincidentally, the highest viewed/paid/selling in his sport, also.
