If Floyd has to go up to 154 to fight Canelo, then GG can go up and fight Ward. Broner can go up and fight Paulie. Rigo can move up a few lbs and fight Mares now. That's just for starters...

Matthysse has all this hype now, imagine if he's coming off smoking Garcia? Imagine a Garcia fight if Garcia smokes Matthysse? That's all anyone would talk about around here. Waiting would be best, unless Mayweather really is that determined not to fight Alvarez
If Floyd was going to fight Canelo this year IMO it would have been 15 days ago. I just see them fighting next Cinco De Mayo i would be shocked if they fought in Sept.

I hope he fights Canelo. Canelo has earned his slot in the lottery. However I don't think Floyd is too keen on it. Which is why his daddy was as adamant as he was about it happening at 147. Because they know Canelo can't make it. Which is why Khan got that doctored up welterweight ranking.

Plus if Floyd were to fight either Danny or Lucas now before they fought each other, then he could very well end up fighting them both in succession. That's even more money for him. Besides both are as close to or bigger draws than the Ghost was.

Remember Floyd is a 2 time champion @154 in his only 2 fights out of 44 career fights.

The only people available for September are Canelo, Alexander and Garcia. Can't imagine anyone else getting the shot.

The kid has more holes in his game than swiss cheese. But from a legacy standpoint, a Canelo fight doesn't do anything for Floyd. He's already won belts at jr middle, twice. At some point in their careers, all the ATG welterweights have gone up and challenged for the middleweight title. And if Floyd ever wants to do that, the time is now. He can match up physically with Martinez. Maravilla's reign is almost over. And I promise, Floyd won't be able to match-up with whomever takes the title from Sergio from a physical standpoint.
He might actually do that now since he's seen how vulnerable Martinez was in the Murray fight

When it comes from the horses mouth, that's when I believe ****. It is a sin as a fan imo to say that this fighter is ducking that fighter. Those fans are usually ****ted on, on a daily basis or in Red K, or Green K'd by their online buddies-knowing that what they are saying gains support rather than gain respect from their peers. Just be real for once in your lives.

The only problem is that Martinez signed a multi fight deal with HBO that started after the Chavez fight.
No way HBO lets him out of it, even to fight Floyd.
And if he wants no part of Canelo at 154, why would he take on a full fledged middleweight? Even if Martinez comes down to 154 he would blow up to a much higher weight than ginger would on fight night.
                      Won't happen.

People need to learn that the fights that fans want to see Floyd wants no part of. I still say he never fights Canelo. He will make some bs about weight or money to avoid it.
If he takes the fight now or in the future I will be happy to eat major crow on this site....
