Well Floyd tried a CW once, and he couldn't make it.

If Floyd thought he would make 144 and be the same guy, he would have. He probably knew mid camp that he wasn't going to get down there.

I think it was more about not wanting to take the risk of weakening himself, he makes so much money he doesn't need to and can easily pay the penalty.

Yes it is. 147 is the Welterweight "limit", meaning you can't weigh in any higher than that for a Welterweight fight, otherwise you are a JMW.

The JMW limit is 154, anything between 148-154 is JMW.

150 is JMW. anything from 148-154 is JMW

I'm not a mathematician, but thats 10 pounds right thur, and 10 pounds is a pretty big difference in boxing. you would know that if you understood the sport and how weight classes work
