I think it was more about not wanting to take the risk of weakening himself, he makes so much money he doesn't need to and can easily pay the penalty.

Why not the full limit? He walks into the ring as a JMW on fight night anyway.

150 is not JMW... JMW limit is 154 and they come in 160+

Anyway, good thing Martinez didn't go Narvaez on Lucas.

Thats the thing for all this big talk about Lucas would anyone be surprised if Thurman, Berto, or Ortiz blasted him out at 147. As soon as he graduate from baby welter then we will see what he really about. Guerrero, Bradley, Alexander, and Maidana all moved up he needs to do the same.

lucas needs 2 big wins at 147 before gettin to floyd. lucas speaks no english, would be hard sellin the fight in this way, but with a couple real good wins at 147 in the same kind of peterson fashion, no one will care even if he doesnt speak, period!

i would love to see lucas - floyd sometime down the road soon. more so than garcia, and obviously more so than laughable khan (roflmao khan)

This would be the only realistic Floyd fight i would actually root against Floyd.

Matthysse should stomp Garcia and Khan (yeah i know, but he's apparently the grand price of the 140 tourney) first though.
Floyd should fight Canelo.
