Matthy is trying to build up the Garcia fight. I see some people think Garcia has at least some chance against Lucas. I hope Garcia thinks it, too, so the fight can happen.

I think we can't compare the current Lucas with the guy who fought Alexander and Judah. Matthy has improved a lot since then, basically assuming a seek-and-destroy strategy from start.

Maidana has not improved too much since he fought Ortiz and Khan, and he's in decline right now. Still, I think Maidana is the only guy at 140-147 (putting Floyd aside) who has a chance against Matthy, because (believe it or not) he hits much harder (though Matty is more precise)

Everyone seams to forget Zab Judah beat Lucas Matthysse and Garcia handled Judah okay. I understand Matthysse knock out looks really good right now but that's because it's still fresh in our minds. I thing that a fight between the two will be a pretty evenly match. All we can do is wait for this fight to go down and then and only then will we know who the beast forty pounder is. Lets not get carried away too soon

This is random, but last night showed me how tough Ajose is. He could be a top 5 JW off of his chin alone. It took Lucas 10 rounds to drop him and I still feel that stoppage was premature.

The co-headliner would be Peterson against Zab Judah, formerly the undisputed welterweight champion of the world."

Not random at all, a lot of people have made that point. Ajose is as tough as they come. I juts hope Lucas didn't ruin him. Ten rounds of that is going to leave its mark on any man.
