I don't see why Haymon wouldn't want this fight, unless he doesn't think Garcia has much to offer and is just a potential cash grab for Mayweather. In that case, he better go ahead and get that humiliation out of the way before the Matthysse fight.

I think this fight hinges on how good Matthysse's chin is, until we find the answer to that all bets are off. I know he has been hit by Judah, etc. but getting hit by a good counter from Danny at this point when he is at the top of his game is a different ball game. If Danny has the power to hurt him then this becomes an unpredictable fight. I still favour Lucas because Garcia is too open, but like I said you know at some point early in the fight Garcia will walk him onto counters, it's how he reacts to those moments which will decide the fight. I don't see Garcia winning a decision personally.

Judah landed his trademark uppercut flush and Matthysse gave him a deranged grin. That's a pretty good barometer of how good this guys chin is. But the Garcia fight could give his chin a higher stature. This guy just seems indestructible right now. He is on a run that could easily turn legendary.

This is random, but last night showed me how tough Ajose is. He could be a top 5 JW off of his chin alone. It took Lucas 10 rounds to drop him and I still feel that stoppage was premature.

I agree with you. I was extremely impressed with Ajose even though he lost. He would have beaten just about every other 140lb fighter that night. He is underrated. He can definitely win a JW strap. Put him in with Peterson lol.

Thats great that you speak for Matthysse but i speak for myself. I feel with some of his comments Matthysse is looking past Garcia. Thinking his power will over power Garcia. IMO Matts will be very suprised in the ring with Garcia when they step in there together and may be saying stuff to himself like "Man, he aint the WIDE OPEN SLOW fighter i expected". It's never good to be suprised in the ring on fight night especially when your just a power puncher with no b or c game.

IMHO Matts team should watch tape of Danny.

Let's no act like Broner has a better claim to 'undefeated' - Matthysse's two 'losses' are seen as wins by the vast majority, while the vast majority also know Broner lost to Ponce.

too early to tell if broner beats matthysse or not. obviously he has a chance cause hes got great skills and all, but he hasnt been tested and we dono what he would do when hurt. he stands in front of guys usually, and thats a mistake with lucas. you say with confidence broner would beat lucas, but what can you base this on? i like broner too, but if they fought tomorrow, i would bet everything on lucas
