I'm sorry...But I don't understand. I mean Barry Hunter had Mont trying to the very wrongest of gameplans. They needed to watchSRL vs HAglar... floyd vs everybody...& El Chacal...or Moreno vs vic Darch. These guys usually doen't just move backwards & allow these hard punchers just gain momentum in coming at them. You have to make them miss & then stand ur ground w/ hard shots or combinations that stun them...them make them move again & beat them to the punch HARD again right after that. Then smother...then walk them backward...bully some. I mean u can't allow them to simply come fwd & only have a jab to worry about. U have to disrupt their pattern & timing & frustrate & GO AT the bully. Look at how buster duglass beat tyson. He threw power jabs
& combinations....he created doubt. Going backwards & jabbing only affirms the bully's strengths...Danny Garcia said it well. We don't know wut he can do if forced backwrds....I like Lucas I like Lamont & Garcia. But Lamont had the tools to beat this kid decisively & really had the wrong plan IMO. Shout out to the Pacers for finishingthose BUMAZZ knicks off!

Peterson might have the tools to give Lucas problems, but he doesn't have the tools to beat him. Lucas is a better puncher and boxer. He hits harder and is a little more slick with his punch selection.

I never felt Lamont was anything special and should have dropped decisions to both Kahn and Ortiz but he whatever.

That faint to body, then the overhand left was a thing of beauty. Lamont's good but Lucas is better.

Not a lot of people can be surprised here.

The issue was ever whether Matthysse could drop or hurt him early, because it's been done before. But Peterson has regularly recovered quickly in the past (against a huge JWW and noted punched in Victor Ortiz) and usually adjusted and asserted himself into the fight.

Peterson tried to box... It takes years to learn how to box in a way you are safe from hard punches. It takes a whole life dedicated, perhaps even being born in a boxing family. Peterson is a good boxer but he's not the fastest boxer nor he has the best footwork. Good win for Mathysse

Good win for Lucas, but it reminds me of Tyson when ppl lose by just being fearful of his power. Lamont is known for being weak chin. Dude was knocked down by Bradley of all ppl.

I admit i picked Lamont winning this fight, but he figured he wanted to Brawl and got caught by a heavier puncher. Really thought he was smarter than that. However, props to Lucas and can't wait to see the fight against Garcia.

LOL, Peterson couldt hit Lucas when he was boxing and he got tagged hard even when he had his track shoes on...(first round with two left hooks, second round got knocked down).....he also got hurt by Khan Ortiz and Bradley when on the backfoot.....you know why?, because he tries to be calm and relaxed outside, but overdoes it and doesnt have the speed to deal with his opponents if they up the pace when theyre walking him down...he was wary of Lucas' power but he had to go with whats proven to be better for him....which was to walk people down...in fact if he had started going toe to toe from the get go, he at least would've done better until he got iced.....

I don't think people should sleep on Garcia too much though, yes I like many think he will lose that fight but its not totally forgone. Garcia will not be forced to retreat like Peterson because he has legit Power and durability and if they can come up with a good gameplan which is important then its not out of the question he can win.
