hes thoroughly and legitimately hated (and understandably). he gets trashed daily. people tune in to see him lose. no one wants to pay for his fights, only stream them. its always the next guy that is supposed to beat him. his skills are undeniable.

Matthysse definitely. People go on as if he is some unbeatable monster that killed all of the 140lbers and should be getting a shot at Mayweather et al.

Currently, Matthysse, GGG, Rigondeaux, and Canelo are all being pushed too hard. All are truly excellent fighters (save for maybe Canelo) but fanaticism has gone beyond reason to borderline worship.Comment

Anyone who says Floyd is overrated is not worth having a conversation with btw. Only a person who knows nothing about boxing would let personal feelings come in to make a ridiculous claim like that. That is like saying JMM or Ward is overrated lol, absurd.
Most overrated fighters to me are:
-Devon Alexander (no real power, does a lot of shoeshines that miss or hit gloves and arms, has gotten 2 100% BS decisions over Kotelnik and Matthysse, gets hit a lot/defensive gaps, has questionable heart and stamina.)
-Danny Garcia (is a limited fighter, tough but wins simply because he is bigger and stronger than his opponents for the most part, solid fighter but not a P4P. I don't see him fighting Floyd at all really.)
-Carl Froch (many may disagree due to his chin, heart, opponents and toughness but skillwise he is very limited. Slow, flat footed/plodding, no defense, good solid fighter but has got the benefit of a few gift decisions.)
Even though Donaire got outclassed I don't necessarily think he was that overrated, he is still a great fighter.Comment
