I don't think he needs two more fights or that it would increase his chances of winning by much. Mayweather would be older so that might increase Canelo's chances of winning but he would also get less credit for the win since Mayweather would be well past prime. I think Canelo can beat him right now. He is a smart fighter and he will have a good battle plan. He has had over 40 pro fights and has been a pro since he was 15 years old. He is ready and the Mayweathers seem worried about him or the fight would have already happened by now. It is the biggest money fight for Floyd but I think he would rather fight someone smaller and safer.

Canelo isnt the finished article so Canelo would be better of fighting Floyd in the year 2018 when Canelo will be at his peak, but we know Floyd dont want Canelo at his peak, and we know FLoyd has 5 more fights only..

So for Floyd it may be best if he fights Canelo at 154, no hydration clauses sooner, rather than later.

Let Mayweather fight Trout and see how that 'Trout ain't no Mayweather' line goes (and no, not at 147).

Trout had no success connecting on Canelo, what is he going to do to Floyd? And he can't crack an egg to boot. Trout has no chance at beating Mayweather even at 154.
