I thought I did. My mistake of course. Who cares if he was losing against Taylor? He KO'd him in the last 20 seconds in his first defense. Taylor was coming off great wins over Hopkins and it was Froch's first fight in the states. Which other win would you rank higher than Taylor for Froch other than Bute and Pascal?
Which of these euros should join the IBHOF?

What? He was coming off getting knocked out by Pavlik.

Are you apologising in reference to excluding McCallum?
My point is with Taylor is that it was a fight he was losing, I know the official result is Froch won but to have that as one of your 3 best results? Doesn't really say a lot.
I don't even know why I'm gonna bite but Kalamby's win over Barkley is better than any of Froch's wins too. You could probably go as far as 3 wins that are better than Froch's single best win.
I honestly cannot think of what else to rank higher than Taylor, which is shocking. Dirrell can't really be counted, Johnson was a journeyman and Abraham is probably the next in line after Taylor but that was a lopsided performance against a turtle. A lot rests on Froch beating Kessler, but even then he's some way behind Kalamby. Can't see him bettering the Polish Tiger either, I'd say he's in Collins' company now and will probably stay there.Comment

I thought I had included it. Of course that win should have been top. To me it's all about who's getting their hands raised at the end (provided you weren't robbing someone) and Froch came from behind and KOd him Marciano style. That's what a true champion does imo. What about the bute win? An undefeated champion who some people on here as well as the sites had ranked #1 ahead of Ward! Knocked him out in 5 rounds. Johnson was a former world champion, but way past it granted. Abraham was made to look like a turtle, but he did KO the hell out of Taylor. Good win, not great. If he wins against Kessler he will have one of the greatest resumes in SMW boxing of all times. Note I said one of, as in top 5. That's just what I think. Are you apologising in reference to excluding McCallum?

It's like if Burns had Gonzalez as one of his best wins. Of course, to come back from behind and win like that is what made Carl Froch, Carl Froch and he's a warrior through and through.I thought I had included it. Of course that win should have been top. The Bute win is meh, definitely his best win but when you look into Bute's background it doesn't exactly shine. He has decent wins and has now moved up to 175, so much like Pascal it's going to be a good win in hindsight (depending on how well Bute does).
Kessler is #2 at 168 currently, Froch #3rd and for me, it's the clearest division to rank the 3 best fighters at. Beating Kessler becomes Froch's best win and a solid win at this weight too. Again, Pascal & Bute have both travelled North so in terms of a 'top 5 168 resume', only their SMW career is really eligible.
Abraham's stock rose significantly when he sparked Taylor and he beat him in better fashion than Froch did, so Taylor's stock dropped a lot and thus the value of the win for Froch. When Froch came into the Abraham fight, many people were apprehensive about Abraham landing a big punch, me included. By far one of the Cobra's best performances as he completely nullified and shut down ze German. That was limitations in Abraham's armoury though and not Froch's versatility.
He's definitely in contention to become Britain's best SMW resume wise.Comment
