The one thing I dislike about the mayweathers and his fan base. They can never give credit it's always excuses after another. Take pac for example he's easy work doesn't know how to box easy money but we need random test, canelo doesn't impress us, Floyd would whoop on him even at 154 but if the fight happens it needs to be at 147. Got damn just admit that these fighters do pose a threat so if ur son fights them it needs to be on even term, stop putting these fighters down but then ur son won't even fight them unless he gets a special treatment.

Giving up his 154 title so he doesnt have to fight the guy everyone wants him to fight is going to make him look like a bigger arse bandit than he already does. You're actually one of his better fans on here, how does that make you feel?

He's the one that has to get in the ring, not me. Of course I want to see Floyd vs. Canelo at a reasonable weight but if he and his dad feel the weight difference is too much to overcome then that's on them and they should be ready to deal with the criticism they are about to receive.

I would respect him more if he just came out and said "I plan on staying at 147 for the rest of my career. I tested the waters at 154 twice and was uncomfortable being at a significant weight disadvantage".

Whitaker and Pacquiao fought at JMW one time and said the exact same thing.

According to a BoxingScene.com report from Miguel Rivera over the weekend, there appears to be a weight issue that must be worked out before a super fight between Floyd Mayweather and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez can come to fruition.

The WBC and WBA champion at the junior middleweight limit of 154 pounds, Alvarez is coming off of a hard-fought unanimous decision over Austin Trout on April 20th in San Antonio, Texas.

However, nothing matters unless it is announced by Floyd himself or Richard Schafer. I still believe the fight will take place at 154 in September, but Alvarez will not be allowed to enter the ring at 170 pounds.

The only problem I have with Floyd's position on the fight having to be at 147 which we know Canelo can't make is who else does fight. I understand not wanting to fight a guy who can easily compete at 160 or 168 but if Canelo then who?
