At this point I just don't think Floyd cares what his legacy is. Right now he will be remembered more for who he didn't fight than his victories in recent years.
I have said it in the past, I don't think Floyd is afraid of losing to Canelo, or even Pacquiao.
I do think that he knows that even in victory he will take shots he is just not prepared to take at this point in his career.
I think he didn't want the Pac fight because he knew Manny would get to him, and then people would want a rematch, and then a third fight after that. He wasn't getting in the ring even once with a guy that could hurt him. Especially after a 39 year old Mosley that hadn't fought in a year and a half put him on ***** st. in round 2.
Same story with Canelo now, he knows he will win but also knows Canelo has the power to hurt him. The Cotto fight was an eye opener for him that he can't hang with legit 154 pounders.
So be it, time to move on to the next one for team Canelo....
