Khan is hoping that 2 things happen.

One is that this will get him the opportunity to fight Floyd.
The other is that just like he said when he moved up to 140, that the added weight would help him be stronger and be able to absorb the punches better.

He'll probably beat Alexander, then move back down. Don't see him taking on some of the big guys at 147. He might squeeze in a berto fight and get an automatic shot at Floyd.

Terrible post Broner had fought nobody in his career, won a robbery against Ponce and jumped a whole division to avoid the opposition.

You can never accuse Khan of taking the path of least resistance or ducking tough fights. Love him or hate him he has never ducked tough opposition!

140lbs was his best (Khan) weight in terms of strength but maybe also because of what Ariza was giving him. He survived the likes of Maidana and some what tried against Danny Garcia. When he added 3 pounds he was getting hurt by Diaz who's hardly elite and very slow.
People underestimate Alexander. Alexander's very accurate, he moves and he has some decent power. Khan definitely can not take shots at 147lbs and the guys there are really fast. Personally I like the ALexander fight and I know it's a fight Alexander will win comfortably if not by stoppage. Golden Boy knows Khan's rubbish and they can't cheat people much longer. If he miraculously survive against Alexander then they feel they can justify a Mayweather fight. They cant put him against Garcia because they know he will definitely be knocked out. They cant put him against Peterson because they know he will be damaged for life.Garcia and Peterson have since improved beyond measure while Khan has regressed.

              Khan-Alexander
              Garcia-Matthysse/Peterson winner
              Mayweather-Alvarez

It makes sense, right? Don't see how it could play out any other way.

khan is done at 140 i suspect.. his best hope now is to take a leap up to 147 and find out whether he really was weight drained at 140 or not.. alexanders a good opponent to help him find out one way or another.. if khan gets beat by alexander then it really could be the beginning of the end..

                    Khan is gonna defeat Alexander.

This is like Ali-Foreman all over again. They doubted Ali after he didn't look all that good in his last outings. Amir is gonna shock the world !!
