Khan is pretty much doomed at 147

    He gets koed by
Mayweather, marquez, Pacquiao, brook, Guerrero, Ortiz, Thurman, Abregu, provodnikov, bailey, berto

    Heck even
Alexander and bradley would probably drop him.

What happened to Khan being in the Garcia/Matthysse/Peterson tournament and waiting to get his azz kicked by the winner?

I'm so sick of hearing about Khan this and Khan that. It doesn't matter, all of the champions at 140 or 147 will beat Khan except maybe malignaggi... Well IDK it might be close.

I think it's a very smart move by Amir Khan. Alexander is not a huge puncher and all Amir has to do is to finish the fight on his feet and he'll probably win due to his workrate and flashier punches.

Fighting Alexander is a wise move for Khan.It is his best chance of getting a title,a far safer option than taking on the winner of the LWW tournament. Garcia and Matthysse knock Khan out and Peterson will make him look bad . I can see Khan beating Alexander he has a good chance of winning.

I'd rather see him fight Kell Brook. He talked all that sh__ about whippin him in sparring. Seems like fighting him in England would be a bigger fight for him.

Maybe the winner of Alexander/Khan could fight Kell Brook if he can ever get healthy

Go to 147 settle in, maybe/maybe not fight Devon, if not devon fight a gatekeeper. I still see him as a rebuilding fighter and he hasn't quite turned the corner with his new trainer IMO and I'd like to see him have a smart, complete performance against somebody, just me. They are in charge and I'd never blame a fighter for taking the money/title opportunity if it's there...with his style, time really isn't on his side, but it will be a fun ride while it lasts. So if he can't fight Devon then he still would have gotten to 147 before the 140'ers he can have rematches with might have an edge on that point, for whatever it's worth. So on the lower end of WW he has the guys who will likely come up anyway, and Broner might stick around. Or Turn back the clock and finally rematch Maidana or Ortiz. Maybe Josesito Lopez if he wins

Obviously Floyd is the goal for any fighter, so it's a good step because WW is a classic division and Khan has already made some good fights... he will probably add a couple to the list of great fights there

I would rather see the fight as well but for Khan who is so vulnerable he needs to get a title and try and land a Mayweather fight ASAP before he gets sparked and KOd again. Brook can beat him and then a Mayweather fight looks even more ridiculous than it does now.

Khan has not earned his stripes at Welterweight - he needs to beat a top level welterweight before getting the right to do so this should not be sanctioned until he does - the perfect fight would be Khan v Brook in Sheffield good for British Boxing and then if he wins he has earned his shot but they will duck Brook because Brook is puncher and Khan will avoid this one.
