This is Khans only hope for a Mayweather fight. I think Khans swag is a bit damaged and I don't think he could get by the winner of the 140 tournament whether it's Garcia , Peterson or Matthysse. Devon has a belt and I think the winner in December fights Floyd next May so he can attempt to unify the Welterweight div.
This fight for Khan is huge, win and he gets a belt a little bit of redemption and a payday with Mayweather but if he loses he's pretty much done as a main card draw. Showtime's 3 fight contract is up and he'd be coming off a loss no more chances for him.
In all honesty I see Alexander beating Khan pretty easily and Devon getting his shot at Floyd, but stranger things have happened.

Haha! Right? I have to admit I'll root for Khan, can't stand Alexander, boring as hell country bumkin.
That said, career wise, this is the smartest move for Khan. Everyone at 140 is too dangerous for a guy who could be one loss away from the big picture. Alexander is not a puncher and is not a finisher. This is the type of fight Khan can win, get a big check, get a world title and bring himself to the forefront in boxing again. Very intelligent move by team Khan.

If he beats Alexander he'll get the Mayweather fight straight away..

            Don't blame Amir....
On one hand he could fight Danny Garcia a big puncher or Lucas Matthysse a ****ing monster puncher or... he could go upto 147 and fight Malinaggi 2.0.
