Please correct me if I'm wrong here: they're not factoring his payout to Ellerbe, Floyd Sr./Roger and camp expenses right?...all of their cuts come out of that gross amount I thought...if he operates as a corporation- which he probably does then this large number is probably not genuine.....again correct me if I'm wrong....maybe goldenboy picks trainer/managet/camp fees/payouts?

Then minus another 2-3 mil or so for training expenses, cut man, trainer, etc. Floyds take home was around 17mil for that bout. I didn't factor in ppv revenue because I refuse to believe Espinosa when he says the fight did over a mil when tthere's about 3 different sources claiming that it didn't even come close.

All in all, still a tremendous payday for 1 night.
Where in the hell are you getting these numbers from?

Floyd will most likely make $45 million from the Guerrero fight, subtract 39.6%, that's $27 million, subtract Haymon's cut which is 27%, and then corner, USADA tests. Floyd still takes home a little over $30 million this year.

Now apply this to the rest of the guys on this list, of course subtracting things like taxes, agent fee, etc, they take home even less than Mayweather. So any way you put it, anything you subtract, Mayweather is still the hugest paid athlete.

But Jesus Christ, out of $90million Floyd only takes home like $35mill. That's ****.

People hate on how much he makes .... but no one things about the biggest benefit of what he makes. It attracts better talent to the pool. They want to be THAT guy making that kind of money, more than any other athlete in the world. It does give some fighters the drive to know if they can be the best there is...this is what you can do.

Hate all you want on that but, in my opinion having the bench mark set that high to what you can become in the sport... is a damn good thing.

projected guys, he will not have earned much more than 32m vs guerrero after it did lowish numbers compared to what they expected.

he will fight 1 more time, if tht fight does not do huge numbers, he will earn around 70m before tax and costs, he would take home a lot less, around 50m imo

            still a huge amount

No, they are not factoring in the expenses. Just the revenue/income made. The number is genuine, it's just about income. If you want to factor in expenses, you can go on all day about every athlete and/or corporation. And no, Golden Boy does not pick anything. Golden Boy just gets paid a small fee. They don't take part in the profits of the event.

Please friend rich people dont get taxed at 39%. Thats why warren buffet says his secretary pays more in taxes than he does. My bet is floyd gets taxed around the same rate as mitt romney...15%. There is a reason most pro athletes are **********s. And they carry a lot of pre tax deductions which further reduce their tax liability. The uber rich play at a level most of the regular people cannot comprehend.

He also chose the loser from a lower weight class, who has not fought at 147. He also TURNED DOWN $40 Million, and hasn't made $40 million for a fight yet. Bad choices!
It's cherry picking for Floyd because he didn't fight someone who could be the real test. Pacquiao, Canelo, Williams, Martinez, prime Margarito, prime Cotto, Prime Mosley. He skirted all of them.

Rios and Alvarado are 1-1. Rios KTFO Alvarado. Alvarado won by a decision. Does it really matter who won first and who lost second? A third match is still to decide who is best between the two. What if Rios lost by KO to Pac then goes on to fight Alvardo for a III then KO's Alvarado. What good is your post now?

You find fault in someone who just got KTFO by a legit pound for pound in Marquez, and yet close your eyes on the type of fighter lined up for Floyd like Alexander, Khan, and the previously defeated flat footed slow as molasses Guerrero.

Floyd's bush must be really thick you can't see behind the nuts.

no they're not deducting expenses but neither are they for anyone else on this list. Everybody as taxes and other expenses. and you an argue aside for the taxes floyd has less expenses and has no agent that gets a percentage. Don't think roger of Floyd Sr are getting 10%
