Then minus another 2-3 mil or so for training expenses, cut man, trainer, etc. Floyds take home was around 17mil for that bout. I didn't factor in ppv revenue because I refuse to believe Espinosa when he says the fight did over a mil when tthere's about 3 different sources claiming that it didn't even come close.

All in all, still a tremendous payday for 1 night.
Factor that 39% in when he has his own non-profit charity organizations... LOL

****! ****! This is why ********s keep screaming "the 1% should pay their fair share."

I hear what you saying. But the general population are generally dumb when it comes to financial matters anyway. So yeah, when articles talk about salaries, revenue, etc, they rarely talk about the related expenses. It's all positive to give the reader a high (like wow). They'll only write about the expenses if the athlete or company is let's say bankrupt, close to it, or losing a whole lot of money. They either shoot you up with a syringe, or they shoot you down with a bazooka.

That's just how it is... Only the financially educated are going to read that and see the invisible fine print.

What you're talking about is capital gains tax. Floyd doesn't have that privy when it comes to the irs. His boxing income isn't a result of business investments. Romneys were. Floyd is getting taxed at a rate of 39 percent.

Well in any case...however Floyd manipulated the system/media he did it right because he deserves to be highest paid because of the highest life-risk sport played in the big money game category

The bold is exactly where you are wrong. FMJ's fights are his business investments. There is no way FMJ is paying $39% and has a corporation. Even without a corporation the numbers can be twisted and moved around to keep more of your money. Capital Gains is one way to hide money, but just like Mitt Romney, I am sure FMJ has off shore accounts and other investments. Mitt Romney did not pay a 15% tax rate just off capital gains and neither does Warren Buffet. FMJ was cut a check for 32 million after the fight up front to himself not to his company(Mayweather Promotions). Not even that 32 million will be taxed at 39% . I am in the 28% tax bracket and I do not pay 28%. The more money you make = the more you should keep in this country with all the loop holes.
