Comments Thread For: James DeGale Ready For Sebastian Demers Showdown

London - WBC Silver super-middleweight champion, James DeGale MBE: “I just want to show my fans what I’m made of, show them what I’ve got and show them what I’m about.”

The former 2008 Olympic gold medalist vows to give his best on his North American debut when he fights Sebastien Demers at Casino Lac-Leamy, Gatineau, Canada, May 17.

“I’m feeling good, very good, I haven’t been out of the gym since the beginning of the year,” DeGale said.

“Obviously I’ve had a couple of fights cancelled on me and postponed, but obviously I’m a true professional - I’ve been in the gym training hard and I’m just looking forward to going out to Canada on May 17th. [Click Here To Read More]

Calling this his North American début is stretching it a bit.

Could there be a more obscure venue or opponent?

With vanishing skills like this maybe DeGale should be a magician.

I fear James Degale will be the next Audley Harrison - a good Olympian boxer but a poor professional boxer.

Nice to see that James is stepping-up

Seriously, though, he should have dumped his trainer after the Groves fight. He's picked up too many bad habits.
