What fight were you watching? It was close - could have gone either way. Dirrell's game plan was ******ed; that's what cost him the fight.

If Froch wins he beat a 50 year old man.

If he loses he lost to a 50 year old man who Calzaghe beat years ago (that would make 2 people Calzaghe beat thats would hold a win over Froch and that would be embarrassing for him (even if he beats KEssler in the rematch)

If he wins he gets a HOFer on his record.

He might get a strap at LHW if he wins

        ---------------------------------------------

What's Froch's alternative to be remembered for ducking a guy Calzaghe beat at LHW in America at a Catchweight in his own country.

Froch wants to be remembered as on the same level as Calzaghe but that'll never happen if he avoids Hopkins.

Hopkins is regardless of age still one the best fighters in the SMW and LHW division.

He'll be remembered for avoiding the guy he critisised Calzaghe for beating at LHW in his own country 5 years - Froch never gave Joe any credit for that win which is leagues above any win on Froch's own record.

If Froch truely believes he could have beaten Hopkins 5 years ago and indeed most definitely is better than him now - then he'll take the fight - smash the old man in to retirement shutting everybody up.

Hopkins has shown in his last fight he's still has it, so the only reason Froch would avoid a Hopkins is if he genuinely believes he won't beat him.

His only reason to avoid this fight is he believes a guy Calzaghe beat will beat him again.

What happened to Froch I'll face anyone - a true warrior - i don't care about the opponent win or lose I'll fight the best fighters.

Well Hopkins is a legend and imo in the top 3 fighters in the SMW and LHW division.

Froch is chasing the best at 168; he doesn't need to add an old man to the list.

Fans want to see a war; not a snooze-fest. Even if it did happen, B-Hop would ***** about being weight-drained/robbed after the fight.

If Froch wants to take on a LHW, he should go after Cleverly. That would be a huge domestic fight.

          -------------------

You might as well just say - i don't think Froch has a chance against B-Hop so take on Cleverly who he has a good chance against.

That's the same excuse's Froch roles out - he wants to be known as a great fighter, great fighters can beat all styles - like Calzaghe.

You can't hide behind - its not exciting fight, nobody wants to see a Ward rematch, if Froch genuinely believes he can beat Ward would he care, no.

He'd take the fight - if you can win the fight and it increases your legacy you'd take it. Not taken the fight to hide behind - it'll be boring, does he hoenstly expect people to buy that.

The same excuse as - LHW too big and catchweight is now too but he promised to face Pascal at LHW and wanted a catchweight with Calzaghe.

            From the man's own words.

"But realistically I know he wouldn't drop down to super-middleweight and I don't really want to go up to light-heavyweight so I'd compromise and meet him at a catch weight of around 172lb.

Since this fight he also said he'd face Pascal in a rematch at LHW.

If Froch and or Hearn don't want the fight because they think Froch can't beat a 48 year old, then fine.

Just be honest and say so, but don't say its to do with weight and that he can't do a catchweight because 4 plus years ago he already said he would do a catchweight.

Froch always says he wants to fight the best - well Hopkins is a legend, end of.

                Hopkins vs Froch

If Bernard wants to fight Froch, that means Bernard has Froch figured out the way he did Pavlik. Froch would be prudent to turn down the Hopkins offer.

We're all forgetting about the Viking Warrior....Hopkins should fight Kessler if he beats Froch.

Hopkins is an ATG but his fights are FAR from classics. Would be a 12 round snoozer. People who say Rigo and Floyd are boring are crazy. Hopkins though, is very boring IMO.
