I think Hopkins-Kovalev is an even better fight, personally. Good thing if Kovalev and Hop both win their next fights he will be his mandatory so Assuming Bernard doesn't retire by then, if he doesn't fight him he will have to vacate his IBF title.

Froch is in for a war with Kessler, who knows how that fight will play out. Amazing how Hop is still fighting at such a high level though... I think the only guy who beats him at 175 is Kovalev and I just can't see Hop taking that fight. Kovalev would absolutely blitz Hop right now, i dont even think it would be close, IMO

Froch is chasing the best at 168; he doesn't need to add an old man to the list.

Fans want to see a war; not a snooze-fest. Even if it did happen, B-Hop would ***** about being weight-drained/robbed after the fight.

If Froch wants to take on a LHW, he should go after Cleverly. That would be a huge domestic fight.

Didn't Andre Dirrell school the shizznits out of Froch? C'mon there are people that actually think Froch could fight a master of boxing like Hopkins......please Hopkins schools this sucka

My opinion is that B-Hop would travel to UK and fight Froch at a catch weight (say 172), with Hearn providing for a big purse.

B-Hop vs Ward is not a fight -- it's bore. With no money in it.

If Froch wins he beat a 50 year old man.

If he loses he lost to a 50 year old man who Calzaghe beat years ago (that would make 2 people Calzaghe beat thats would hold a win over Froch and that would be embarrassing for him (even if he beats KEssler in the rematch)

If he wins he gets a HOFer on his record.

He might get a strap at LHW if he wins

And IF he wants to get revenge on Ward like he's said he has (but doesnt sound overally keen tbh), who better to practice on than Hopkins? I fight against Hopkins would prepare him better for a Ward rematch than anyone, and if he manages to win easily might make demand for a Ward rematch easier to sell.

think the fight would be a stinker, but if he beats Kessler and wants a Ward rematch he should take the fight imo

edit - i dont think Froch has a chance against Ward but that doesnt mean he shouldnt try to avenge his defeat!

Froch is beating Kessler, especially in Notting. I wish Pascal would've just left the Bute fight and took on the winner of this one instead. Hopkins/Froch won't ever happen.

No? well not unless you count not engaging and falling to the floor as schooling

Froch v Hopkins is a bore too, as is Froch v Ward. Could do without watching either fight to be honest. Froch likely loses both and neither are exciting.
