I like Tommy, but he is from a past era. This is a whole new generation of abilities. If Floyd Jr was fighting back then, they would be shocked by this guy. When Floyd fights tall guys like Genero, Ghost, Diego, his footwork is off the chains. I think his defense and countering would be off the chart. And lets not forget, Tommy lost to SRL, who lost to Duran at WW LMAO. -

Mayweather with out question is a great fighter and an all time great IMO. But I was blessed to see Sugar Ray Leonard in his prime and he had the same qualities as Floyd but he had dynamite in both hands. Hearns was a monster in his prime too. As good as Floyd is, I put him one level below those guys. That whole era was talented. To beat Hearns and Leonard, you would have to do more than try and outbox them. Leonard saw that he couldn't outbox Tommy because the reach and height was just too much. He had to bite down and fight him. Floyd is great but he has always got by on skills alone. That just wouldn't happen if he fought those 2 guys. Duran and Pryor would have given him hell too. He would be forced to go flat footed and exchange with those guys. Pot shotting would just not do it in that era. Anyone that disagrees, simply go back and look at old footage of those guys. Floyd gave Guerrero a boxing lesson, but can you honestly imagine what Leonard and Hearns would have done to him??? Tommy would have crushed him early like in round 2 or 3. Ray would have showboated and had the crowd on their feet humiliating Guerrero until the KO came in the later rounds. That was just a completely different era than this.Comment

Roy Jones Jr, is the most dominant fighter of all time. And I believe pound for pound Roy was better than Floyd. Floyd is the best in the last ten years. But Roy Jones Jr, was definitely more unbeatable than floyd. Noone tested Roy till he got to old and lost. Roy had a 15 year run not having a close fight. Also, for Floyd to be put on that level with Leonard, Hearns, Duran, and Hagler, he would have to fight other all time greats and a few more future hall of famers. Those guys were lucky to have each other to acheive boxing immortality. Floyd had the chance to fight another all time great in Pacquiao and it just never happened. Even if they fought now, Manny's invincibility was crushed with that Marquez right hand. So in my opinion, Floyd lost that chance. Mosely and De La hoya were not the same monsters they were in their prime when Floyd fought them. I still think the Mosely that fought Oscar the 1st time would have been too much for Floyd. That's just speculation, but he just doesn't have the nemesis to fight to put him on the level with those guys. Skills do pay the bills as he always say. But what happens when you have another beast in front of you that is just as talented and hungry? That's when your heart and will is tested. I've watched Floyd do it against Cotto and Shane. But comparing Cotto and Shane to Hearns and Leonard is like comparing a German Sheppard to a pitbull. One is trained to kill while the other is born to.Comment

Im not comparing Herns to Genero. All Im saying is that a fighter with a height and reach advantage, is just that to Mayweather. A fighter with a height and reach advantage. Herns is a good fighter, but the footwork, defense, and ability to adjust, would be something Herns has never imagined. As far as Ghost vs Herns, not once did I pit them up against eachother. I was just pointing out that a guy who is tall, wont be able to use that as an advantage against Mayweather. SRL lost to Duran at WELTERWIEGHT LOL. See he overestimated his defense, and tried to stand toe to toe. In the rematch he had to run around the ring.
Btw, Im not even a Floyd fan dummy. Styles make fights, and I think Floyd's style would cause an awful amount of trouble for Herns who was basically mentally challenged. A dumb fighter is NOT going to solve the Floyd puzzle! In other words, #MismatchComment
