WBC featherweight champion Abner Mares (26-0-1, 14KOs) wants the best fights possible, at featherweight or even super featherweight and super bantamweight. Mares feels good at 126-pounds and would likely move up for a better opportunity at 130, but there are two boxers that he would drop down for, at 122, - WBA/WBO champion Guillermo Ridgondeax (12-0, 8KOs) and former champion Nonito Donaire. Last month Rigondeaux won a twelve round decision over Donaire.

I definitely would like to see this fight....2 primed unbeaten p4p ranked dudes battling for the lil' man's throne....I favor Rigo but not by as much as I did a few weeks ago...I think Mares can get some work done against Rgo...maybe not enough to win but I think he'll do better than Flash did....Mares seems to be mentally stronger than Flash as well

Mares seems to overcome any style put in front of him and doesn't stop surprising me.
