Not keen to see Froch or even a Kessler in with Hopkins.
I appreciate him for his achievements but I don't really want to see Hopkins in against any top fighters, really. Not that he can't win the fights but but because the fights themselves are very dry these days. All these guys have better fights to make than one with BHOP.Comment

Bottom line is that Calzaghe didn't fight Froch and Hatton didn't fight Witter. They could have but they didn't. Call it whatever you want but it's on record.Comment

Bro stfu and read what I originally typed that made you cry so hard:
Then tell me what part of this statement is inaccurate?Froch was willing to fight Calzaghe at 175 back in the day but Calzaghe didn't want it.Comment

not quite the same - witter was holding the WBC
actually after he lost to Mayweather and was looking for a fight at 140 Hatton held no title but still refused to fight Witter who offered to fight him for free... instead he chose lazcanzo
Not saying that he was scared of Junior but he certainly did "duck" himComment

He did avoid him! Froch avoided Cleverly too! Hatton avoided Witter!
None of them were "ducks" as they weren't obligated, but they are all fights which could have been taken.
I consider a duck as not taking a fight you're expected to take. Given their respective situations and alternative opponents I wouldn't expected any of those fights to be made. They could have, but they didn't. Everyone will have their own take on it though.not quite the same - witter was holding the WBC
