Do people really believe Froch would duck Hopkins and doesn't believe he could beat him? I'm still a little shell shocked reading "Froch" and "duck" in the same sentence.

His promoter might not fancy the fight for a million reasons but I'm pretty sure Froch would fight Hopkins and believe he could beat the brakes off him better then Calzaghe did too

Why can't Hopkins f-off into retirement.

Froch doesn't need that old bast*rd. He'd murder him at 168 or 175.

Sergio Martinez walks around 180....canelo same deal...170+ bernard hopkins had to literally strve himself to stay at MW...froch aint doing that. again I say...F...O...H!

And truthfully Carl remained a nobody until the Super Six where he was 15 seconds away from losing to a shot Jermain Taylor (moving up in weight and coming off two losses icl. a KO) as well as losses to Andre Ward, Kessler, and Dirrell (Nottingham home cooking). But sure he beat Bute, I guess that makes him a P4P star...

Froch v. Shot Taylor moving up:
Froch didn't fight taylor in the super 6 this was before and taylor wasn't shot here, past it but not shot. He trained hard for that fight, had the hunger and will to win and was looking very good. Also Froch has losses because he fights the best and in their own country half the time.

I know he doesn't walk around at 168, he walks around early 170's, by doing a catchweight he's giving away his advantages. He doesn't need to fight above 168 maybe he will at the catch weight but I wouldn't if was him.

Smart move from the promoter, Hopkins would beat Froch, I don't care how old he is.

Since Froch moved up in class he has always faced the best in the division, so talk of a 'duck' is un-just.
His team have also said repeatedly that he's not moving up in weight, so unless Hopkins would come down to the SMW limit then talk of a fight is pretty much dead in the water.

what I mean is as long as he can make 168 comfortably he doesn't need to be fighting light heavies. If he starts fighting guys higher in weight his strength, power etc. advantages that he needs, would be less obvious in comparison to his opponent due to them being bigger, even if it is a catchweight. Like I said maybe he would be tempted to fight Hopkins at a catchweight but I wouldn't.
