Chagaev was a late substitution afaik and far away from his prime.

Why not tell the whole story? Chagaev was training to fight Valuev and the fight was cancelled due to his HEP situation. Wlad was in training to fight Haye and that was postponed due to a Haye injury. Chagaev was in shape and had almost an additional month to prepare for Wlad. He was also the legit WBA belt holder and he was only 30 years old and obviously still in his prime when they fought. And if I remember correctly Valuev was offered fights against both Wlad and Vit and obviously he did not take them up on their offer.

I could never understand if either. Those are probably the ignorant 16 year olds who should get banned on sight for not legitimately contributing to NSB, IMHO.
