Yea, I would say his campaign at 140 would have been much more substantial.

I will say this though he would have had to fight Leonard at some point if he would have wanted to get to a similar place he currently holds Duran, Hearns, Pryor all those guys were big time fighters but Leonard was always the money man above them.

I think he would have gone to see Leonard, just because that is what he would need to do to achieve his goal.

Actually yea there is Floyd is good on the inside and hard to hit. Hearns at 147 didn't know how to clinch up he didn't pick that up until after the Leonard fight.

If Floyd can avoid the main arc of Hearns power and get inside that he can win as he has an advantage in that real estate.

If Floyd was strictly an outside fighter you would be right and what I said is not an easy task against a killer like Hearns.

I would say Leonard is a much worse match-up because there is no spot where Floyd really has an advantage Leonard can fight on the outside and the inside plus is tough as nails so hard to see Floyd efficent approach keeping Loenard at bay.

Floyd is a defensive master so I don't think it is impossible. he couldn't control the distance on Leonard and Leonard is not good at defense like Floyd is, Leonard got inside because he endured Floyd would have to endure a bit also but he is much better at making someone miss who is standing in front of him and in range. If Hearns is throwing at range and missing it is not that hard for Floyd to get in, the hard part would be making him miss but is that not Floyd's game.

It wouldn't be easy no doubt, but I don't think it is impossible if there is a place a guy can win and a possible way to get there. It is easier said than done though

So basically what they're saying is that there's very little competition in Floyd's league for him to face and those who do pose a threat to him he is making the fight/s difficult to make.
