Who told you to post here? You need permission from me to post here. Pac was knocked unconscious. You need a pass code to post here from now on.

I would feel the same as Pacquiao trying to get Cotto to come back down to 147lbs even though he'd already destroyed him and Cotto was coming off a loss.

The fight would mean little and if full plaudits are wanted, don't do anything to possibly weaken your opponent.

That being said, there are a couple things to consider. Mayweather's the marquee fighter, as was Pacquiao. Alvarez is the "challenger" of sorts here as was Mayweather vs Cotto. If you want to challenge the champ, you do it under their conditions or go elsewhere. Doing things like putting weight stips on a champion for THEIR title will always taint any victory you might have.

I don`t get caught in any hype that easy. I look at the facts and follow my experience in life. Canelo is a young and strong fighter. He`s got good punching power and a very good left hook. If you stay in front of him and don`t move well enough, you get knocked out! But with Mayweather it`s a complet diffrent story. Mayweather will put a ring through Canelo`s nose and guide him trough to arena like a tamed bear. Mayweather, love or hate him, is the best fighter of his era, period. Marquez is 100% right in his statement: Canelo is not ready to fight Floyd.
Imo he never will. He`s left outside, to play with the other boys, like that current version of Cotto. I still like him and I still like to watch him fight but I don`t buy that "savior of boxing or the next mexican heroe" s...t. Canelo would be very lucky if he can reach that high where the Marquez`s, Morales`s or Barreras`s of the world are residing.

why is Marquez talking about Canelo? is he insecure? he should be talking about his chances on how to beat the unbeaten Bradley!

I don't agree with many of Floyd's opponents, especially Guerrero, I don't know why everyone and the media liked that. But to be honest, if you are the P4P champ, if someone wants to fight you, they need to come to you. Why should u move up? I don't blame Floyd if he is demanding this.

Canelo/Cotto is a better fight because each fighter actually has a chance to win as opposed to fighting Floyd, Canelo has no chance. Idk tho. Cotto having back-to-back losses and then fighting Canelo? I'm not sure the fight will happen. If it does, I'll give Cotto mad props w/l/d, especially since I've been a huge critic of his recent opponents.
