These dudes act like Sal wasn't negotiating with Cotto a whole month before Floyd even fought, but its whatever man these cats see what they want to see and believe what they want to believe.

In the past, if you wanted to argue with a ignorant sports fan you just had to go down to a local bar, but now...

Just turn on your computer I guess

        another dumb ass response

if the belt didn't mean ****, floyd would've given it up after beating Cotto.

you realize he's paying commission fees by holding that belt right?

Floyd seems to disagree with you, he wants that belt for a reason. Except the reason seems to be something other than actually defending it in the division that it belongs

I'm not saying that Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Isn't going to fight Canelo. I'm just saying that he shouldn't have to; Even though he is a current 154 lbs titleholder, due to the size differential of both fighters. However, the fact that Mayweather continues to retain that WBA title, he won from Cotto back in May 2012, should be a clear sign, that he is at least willing and open in exploring the idea of defending it against Alvarez but just not on Ginger's terms. He is exploring multiple options at this time; With Saul being among them. The longer Money holds onto that WBA middleweight title belt, then the over all likelihood of that fight taking place is higher. However, since he holds all the cards, it will be on his own terms and not anyone else.

what are gingers terms? fighting at 154lbs isn't a "Ginger Term", it's the ****ing terms of the weight division

what exactly are you arguing here? you sound pretty dumb to debate this

Floyd aint paying no damn fees for that crap belt. Their probably showing him special treatment by letting him keep the belt.

I dont know why you all are pretending that it means something. Floyd only fought for that belt, to make his fight with Cotto seem as if it had some importance.

Any fight that Floyd has at 54, is a bonus fight. He is obligated to fight Pac. But he's not obligated to fight Martinez and Canelo, when he cant even make 54. He makes 152, then accidentally comes in at 148, while his opponents come in at 160+ Its his choice whether or not he wants to put his 36 yr old body through that or not.

              Stop sounding like a moron.

dude, all the sh|t you just typed is all conjecture, with no factual basis to support it. stop sounding like a butthurt floyd nuthugger

                "probably giving him special treatment"

                facts to support this?

"Floyd only fought for that belt, to make his fight with Cotto seem as if it had some importance."

                facts to back this up?

for the record (although this is when I thought he had been stripped and only held the 147lb belt), I agreed that he didn't have to fight Canelo due to the weight difference on fight night. but he needs to relinquish that WBA strap, and until he does Canelo Alvarez is a FAIR GAME opponent for DISCUSSION.

Im not even a Floyd fan, so I have no reason to nutthug. I dont need any facts to support that Floyd is paying for a strap that he doesnt care about. He himself said he was stripped, and even if he didnt say he was stripped, its my opinion that he aint paying JACK SQUAT for it!

As far as Floyd fighting for the belt to make the Cotto fight seem important, Floyd said himself belts only collect dust. Its widely known that Floyd doesnt care about cheap trinket belts, used to help promote fights, and make them seem meaningful.

As far as Floyd giving the belt up, if he does, if he hasnt already, people will still claim that he's OBLIGATED to fight Canelo.

                  • Canelo is no threat to Floyd.

Floyd is what he is though and will do what he does.

                    Quack...
