Gonzalez QUIT!!???

I very much doubt it. Throw in all the heart and determination you like, but you're gonna have to have more than a jab and a straight right hand to beat Broner.Gonzalez was undefeated and a mandatory. Very good fighter, slick movement, great jab, wide variety of punches and a lot of power. Burns had too much heart for him to deal with after he sustained the injury. I would guess he might have continued against a lesser fighter but Burns is a different case.
After seeing this, the Broner fight would have been interesting to see. Gonzalez has many of the skills that Broner has, he even had his own less-refined version of the shoulder roll. There is a chance that fight could have gone a similar way with Broner outboxing Burns early, then Burns coming back later on (like how the Ponce De Leon fight played out).Comment

Burns is mediocre, that should be the takeaway from this fight. Jose Gonzalez had fought nobody of note coming in, and likely isn't world class himself. Burns would have gotten whooped against Broner, Vazquez, Abril, all the top guys at 135.Comment

If it happens great but I dont see why right now 154 is packed and if floyd fight is till viable, if he moves to 160 to fight GGG then that removes the possiblity to every fight floyd cause floyd will never fight at 160 or an 160 fighterComment
