Cotto wasn't prime or undefeated in 08? Manny didn't fight at 47 in 09?

Where do you watch boxing from?

Point is, Floyd has been a welter since 06, and didn't fight a single one of those guys when the matchup was its absolute best.

You know as well as I do none of the fights with the Top Rank guys were gonna happen. NO GO!! and I blame Uncle Bob for that.
and you do realize when Mayweather went on vacay or duck season or whatever you wanna call it after the Hatton fight; Manny was fighting a couple weight classes below. He came up during the Mayweather break.
Mosley was called out way before this time period, but he didn't want the fight then, he said I will let Oscar take him.
Quit blaming Arum. If Floyd wanted those fights, he could have had them. Easily. and Mosley is not going to fight Mayweather before the boss of GBP does.

Those involved in the sport are more likely to realise the level of skill it takes to pull off what Mayweather achieves.

I call it nothing meaningful~ he wasn't fighting and he wasn't going to fight Top Rank guys anyways so I don't see why you care that he took a break. If you want to interpret whatever way you want go ahead I don't care because I don't respect your view~

Also what does that have to do with the thread or what I said~ because I was talking about work and preparation in the gym, if you can't understand what is getting said don't comment.

because they're not common people spending $70 to watch him potshot and run from a superfeatherweight all night

Also most guys in Floyd's position would have started to really slack in the work they put in, it is human nature to achieve success then chill a bit Floyd is one of the rare sort that can keep doing the hard work to maintain success over a long period. Anyone involved in the sport would know how uncommon a trait that is and how the lack of that trait cut short many promising careers.

Lots of fans can't see the forest through the trees, and if the trees they are looking at displease them they will act accordingly without looking at the rest of the picture.
5 fights in 8 years including ducking the entire 147 pound division when he and everyone else was in their prime or close to it?

You're talking about the skill of making excuses to not fight the highest ranked contenders while you are the champion right?

Because most fans have never been in a boxing ring their entire lives.

so you want to give manny credit for beating up cotto at a catchweight but then crap on floyd for missing out on a prime cotto? cant have it both ways.

margarito was never more than a paper titlist so i wouldnt lose sleep over that fight.
