    Why Is Floyd Appreciated More.......

by fighters, trainers, managers, promoters, etc..... than he is by alot of fans? Ive always heard most all boxers, etc... give him mad props and it seems like they are appreciating him even more now that his career is coming to an end. Its like they realize that he's special, will soon be gone, and is a brilliant ATG.

Meanwhile its the opposite with the fans. He's getting hated on more by the day. Do you think they will appreciate him more when he's gone? The funny thing is alot of these fans who dont like him or think he's overrated are fans of the same boxers who think that Floyd is the best now and one of the best ever

      1. They are more appreciative of his skill and the work he puts in.

      2. They admire and respect his financial success more than fans, who mainly don't care about such a thing.

      That's my opinion, anyway.

Totally agrer with this. Fans want to see him test himself n fight the best so we can see the best fights. We dont care how much he makes. Trainers n boxers praise his skills n would love to have his skills

Because they are in the game and they realize how difficult it is what Floyd is doing, both in the ring and his financial success which is straight up stunning.

Also most guys in Floyd's position would have started to really slack in the work they put in, it is human nature to achieve success then chill a bit Floyd is one of the rare sort that can keep doing the hard work to maintain success over a long period. Anyone involved in the sport would know how uncommon a trait that is and how the lack of that trait cut short many promising careers.

Lots of fans can't see the forest through the trees, and if the trees they are looking at displease them they will act accordingly without looking at the rest of the picture.

You hear about certain guys being the people's champ. Well, Floyd is the boxer's champ.

Boxers understand boxing and can recognize the subtle skills. The civilian population can't.

Don't lie. He was just giving Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Mosley, Cintron and Clottey a chance to make a name for themselves by fighting eachother. Its not Floyds fault the only two guys he fought from that era were past their best days. Its really not. Its Bob Arums. And its going to be Bob Arums fault when Floyd doesn't fight Canelo. And its going to be Canelos fault he doesn't have a country behind him. You know Floyd doesn't give any up and coming fighter a chance at stardom.

Opinions are opinions, I don't agree with some of the things trainers and fighters are saying, but I do see Mayweather getting called the greatest of all time more and more, it's weird to me. I think Floyd could have beaten/ or held his own against any 130-140 pounder in history, literally any, that right there testifies as a damn good boxer.
