He's a cherrypicker with a chip on his shoulder. Of the two I prefer Adrian Broner, at least he is amiable.

floyd was on the same planet as margarito, prime cotto, pac, etc...but he took a rocket ship to avoid them and landed on planet cherrypick which was inhabited by guys like ortiz, guerrero, baldomir, etc...WOW WHAT A GREAT ASTRONAUT! SO TALENTED!

You dont think Manny and Bob had a little to do with that fight not happening? Kinda harsh to put the entire blame on Floyd alone.

You claim that Floyd never fights against good fighters. I mean you can't deny that as soon as Cotto left Top rank the fight was made. Floyd demanded no catchweight ( like another guy), Cotto was coming from 3 big wins that didnt go to the distance.

The guy saying Floyd waited for Mosley to get older is a joke. Floyd was begging to fight DLH and Mosley before the Gatti's fight. Mosley was having teeth "issues". Then after the fight where Mosley decapitated the cheater Margarito everybody on the site was saying Floyd would never fight Mosley, he did and now he was ducking him ?

Ortiz was coming off wins and many people thought he was a live dog.

Personally, I'm trying to stay objective and here is what I think of his last fights :

Guerrero : Cherrypick, Floyd knew Guerrero had no chance against him, disgusting fight
Cotto : I give credit to Floyd, Cotto was coming off 3 big wins and the top 154 guy, he didnt demand any catchweight
Ortiz : Good fight, Ortiz was a good prospect but a mental midget.
Mosley : Huge credit, he was #3 p4p, destroyed the hype-job Margarito and everybody claimed he would never fight him
Marquez : Cherrypick, Marquez is a legend but Floyd knew he would toy with him. Still impressive that he toyed with a master like Marquez, but... a cherrypick
Ricky Hatton: Ton of credit for this fight, this fight was huge and many people thought Hatton would beat him.

So I think that Floyd's career is a mix of good fights with cherrypicks, but like i said people see everything in white or everything in black. You can take any fighters in history and you will see a mix of cherrypicks and good fights.

That was my grain of salt, peace.
            ^^^^^^
Good grains of salt, but there will never be objectivity when it comes to Mayweather or Pac for that matter; there are to many Hardcore "FANatics" on both sides. Can Floyd fight,.. hell yeah, can he be an a$$,..hell yeah, but boxing is what we watch, don't really care what he does outside the ring. People on here either overlook, or haven't been following boxing long enough to know Floyd was the guy calling out alot of people because he wasn't the big draw yet. All they have to do is watch the post fight interview of Mosley/Vargas II to see some good tap dancing by Shane.
As far as the "cherrypicking" everybody in his position sets up the fights that are the best risk to reward situations.

Personally, I'm trying to stay objective and here is what I think of his last fights :
Floyd calling out fighters: Talk is cheap when it comes to Floyd
              - "Manny you are NEXT .... later .... I NEVER said that Manny is NEXT"
              - "It doesn't matter that I said I would ..... Now I'm saying I will not"

              Cotto:
Floyd BEFORE signing: Cotto is flat-footed who has been in too many wars and I believe that he even lost to Clottey. If I pick Cotto people will realize this and call me out so I can't fight Cotto"

Floyd AFTER signing: Cotto is undefeated fighter.

Mosley: Mosley called him out from late 2006 to 2010.
Floyd's response: "I don't want to fight Mosley". So kinda shoots down all that cheap talk by Floyd!!!
After 4 years of waiting Floyd's pre-fight interview: "I'm taking into account that this version of Mosley is OLD as my game plan"

By the way, Mosley was going on a planned mini-vacation (1-2 months) after his fight with Vargas BUT was ready to fight Floyd right after that. When Mosley came back from his vacation Mosley called him out ..... and again, Floyd said no in late 2006 until it finally happened in mid 2010 .....

Outside the ring an awful example of human being, inside the ring the best of his era and an ATG.

My opinion is neither swayed for or against him. I look at floyd as someone who taking advantage of the sport for his personal gain and to be honest who wouldent take advantage of some edge at your job to raise your pay.

The only problem I see is all his fans who say, it dont matter if the ppv tanked or not or this and that as long as he got his gurantee, WHAT? lol. It means alot, means the budget will less for the rest of the year and less money = less fights.

So you know you can tell quite easily who a floyd groupie and those who are just boxing fans.
