Petersons hooks are wide and telegraphed with no power.

Peterson is a guy with heart who fights top guys, BUT he ain't very good at anything.

I don't actually expect Peterson to go toe to toe for a sustained period at any point in this fight. I believe that he will mix it in though and be willing to make some exchanges.

It's going to be a great fight- this is the biggest upcoming fight to watch for me. It's awesome that the fight schedule is staying interesting well into the summer. I've talked Matthysse up a lot, I really like watching him fight. Peterson is a real dude though. I don't think this one is easy work for either guy.

Peterson is not afraid to **** even though he doesn't have Power, it all depends on how well he takes Matthysse Power, if he can take it then I think he out-works Matthysse for a Decision...if he can't take it and he is fighting most of the fight going backwards then he probably get Stopped

You have to stay in the pocket with Matthysse and get some resistance, this is what Zab did the first 4-5 Rounds and was out-boxing and outworking Matthysse, Zab got in trouble when he starts Backing UP and trying to get the fight to the Cards instead of continuing to box, Matthysse is much more dangerous when he gets off with his Power when he is chasing down his opponent and coming forward

I think Peterson can fight inside and utilize the clinch to take away Matthysse Power, he has to make it UGLY Inside! If Peterson is fighting off of his back foot he will get stopped!

Now where did I hear that before before, oh yeah, Floyd Mayweather said he was going toe to toe with Robert Guerrero come fight night, he decided to run track. Lamont Peterson if you go toe to toe against Matthysse, you will get [ktfo], knock the f*** out, period.

Are you serious? Lamont fought Holt( one punch KO power both hands and fast), Ortiz( heavy handed fighter and southpaw), Khan( fastest hands at 140) compared to Humberto Soto, Olusegun, Dallas Jr, and Judah? Lamont fought the hardest and fastest out of that bunch.

Also, he fought toe to toe with ****ers like Holt and Ortiz but he is in reality is a game-plan fighter. That plan he used with Holt proved efficient, he boxed at a distance watching out for his left hook and pressured later in the fight assuming Holt gasses out and he did.

Cons:Matthysse brings his right hand back very slow which makes him vulnerable suspect-able to counter hooks or lead rights. He does have a solid chin better this his older brother. Leaves his body open for shots when throwing those hard shots. A counter puncher's dream basically.

Pros: He has a very powerful punch, solid chin. Variety of punches in his arsenal. Every fight he seems to develop something new whether it be counters or a lead left uppercut, right hand combo.

So you have to believe he has watched plenty of Lucas tapes and notice he can be out-boxed. Do I believe he will stop or ko Lucas? No, but it will be a very competitive fight. Will He win? Who knows, but you guys need to analyze instead of spewing the same ol' casual fan bs like "He will run like Mayweather" or "He will get ko'd".

Analyze the fight so we can pick apart things we don't usually see and further dissect both fighters to come up with a potential winner.

Good response but not what I meant. What I mean was Lucas has fought fighters that are faster than Lamont himself is. I see where it can be mistaken the way I wrote it. I was comparing Lamont to the fighters that Lucas has faced.

I don't think it's a bad idea,as long as Peterson works behind his jab..Peterson is a monster body puncher,if he is going toe to toe he will be sapping some of Matt's power with body work..I like Peterson's mentality going into this fight..This is going to be a really good fight can not wait..

The only problem is Matthysse hits harder and works the body too. Basically, anything Peterson does Matthysse does better.
