He doesn`t want to release inaccurate numbers that are lower then it really is,he wants to wait till all the numbers come in.

I tend to believe Schaefer is probably telling the truth because I saw the fight and it was packed. It was also showing in more theatres than ever before so I'm positive it did indeed set records at the movie theatres. The general market was definitely at the movies. Floyd has captured the black audience I'm sure over half the market was black. Floyd has alot of the older fans from the 80s as well. Guys who watched Duran, Hearns, Sugar Ray. I'm inclined to believe the information from Dan Rafael and Kevin Iole was wrong. I remember leaving the movie theatre thinking the fight was sure to be a success. Then Dan Rafael says it tanked and I thought wow must have been because Guerrero wasn't a draw. Turns out Rafael should have just kept his mouth shut instead of reporting inaccurate information. If Floyd is having such success with the general market he really doesn't need to be fighting on Mexican holidays. He should step off and fight on other days.

Im a Floyd fan too but this is a boxing site. Ofcourse we are going to have threads. We are talking about mainstream. Even most on here were saying they didnt know what time the all access shows came on and werent many people in the streets talking about it. All the reports were that the access shows werent receiving a ton of viewers. There were a ton of threads on here talking about how there were still a million tickets left on stubhub and other sites just days before the fight and how the prices had dropped so drasictally

No he's mad cause he doesn't want to look like a f'n idiot for promising Showtime the world and bombing on his first PPV event when he swore he could put mayweather in there with "Joe Schmoe" and do over a Million buys Lol.. It's called paranoia. I'm sure he's on the phone right now with Showtime and anyone he can to try and figure out how to put out some bull***** numbers in order to save face.. The black audience is always going to watch Floyd. He is an A list celebrity and a hero in the black community.
