No way I thought boxing and MMA was the same thing. Lol Jk, not every fight is a Humpfest on the floor. A lot of fights end up being fought mostly on their feet.

boxing shoes are paper thin and provide little to no support what so ever. you'll actually get a better feel of the canvas along your feet, and your movement would improve without shoes.

lol at the twist your ankle comments. your feet are built for movement and are extremely durable. ask those fools who run barefoot all day, they will tell you barefoot is way better for your feet and they can back it up.

if anything, wearing boxing shoes has been traditional all these past years.

Aside form the obvious protection to your feet, you can get a better grip to move around wearing shoes, than just plain old feet or just socks or whatever. I mean, are you serious?
Protection from what ? I've boxed in the AM's and have sparred many rounds myself and I've never gotten a stubbed toe/twisted ankle/ or felt any pain from someone stepping on my foot. If you read my post I said its obvious that shoes help in the grip department but I not really see much of a difference between what guys do in mma when they are "boxing" for long stretches without shoes doesn't seem like they have much of a problem sitting down on punches or lose "grip" with their feet... Yea I am serious ... I'm not saying it should be the status quo.. Or that it would even be beneficial but if someone preferred to rock without shoes why shouldn't they be allowed to ?
