lol stop making shyt up. you've apparently never watch an MMA fight then. just the last UFC fight Jon Jones bone popped outta his toe. UFC fighters mess up their feet every fight, they're not gonna report it cuz its so common

I see that. But they help grip a bit. There would probably be more slips and KD's without them

no, obviously shoes dont prevent injury 100%. but that's not the point

Of course you can twist an ankle playing basketball or football wearing shoes. Does that mean you shouldn't wear them? just like gloves can't prevent someone from gettin KTFO, doesnt mean boxers shouldn't wear gloves

is this really that tough a concept to understand?

              1. Protect your feet
              2. Reduce slippage. Its a lot easier to slip on your bare feet. especially when you start to get sweaty. shoes offer traction
              3. easier to lift off your feet. just like basketball shoes help you jump higher
              4. your always faster with shoes. would a sprinter ever run bare foot?
              5. easier to plant and switch directions.
              6. reduce impact of landing on feet.

can't believe I'm actually explaining why athletes wear shoes yes you can box without wearing shoes, just like you can play any sport without shoes. I'm sure there's no rule against it. but why the hell would you?

if you ever boxed at a competitive level you know good boxing shoes are a MUST. they have extremely good traction, without them you'll be slipping and slidin all fight

You get more grip for pushing off if you're wearing shoes, compared to your bare sweaty foot.

They're a lot more comfortable for pivoting on.

They provide protection for when your opponent stands on your foot.

Depending on the shoe, they can support your ankle.

Ok that's what I was looking for.but what if you were a fleet footed type guy who doesn't really sit down on his shots to begin with. If not wearing shoes added to you foot speed... Could u see a fighter doing it ? Would they allow it ?
