Cotta fan here and nope I don't want this fight..sorry but that's just inviting Miguel to another beating at this point in his career he doesn't need. The reality is if Trout was able to get to Cotto's face that Flush what would a Canelo punch do? Damage. Let Miguel go off on a few more decent fights, get his money up and retire. The man is just too slow at 154 and walks around near 170. He was never really fast too begin with but at this age and this weight he's gotten considerably slower and prefers power and looping punches to what he used to do.

some people are born to be sore losers those are the type that are floyd fans blind to the facts.. he will go down in history as one of the most boring boxers who cherrypicked his way to to top and avoided top contenders in there prime

Canelo beat Cotto easy but its the biggest money fight for Canelo at the moment

If he fights Floyd how much would he make? Guerrero got the biggest Floyd payday at $3 mill and I think Canelo getting the majority of Cotto PPV makes him 5+ mill

Canelo getting the attention of Marquez and Sulaiman, means that he is really going up. He is young, strong and still improving...if he can act, then he might end up doing movies with Hollywood actor sylvester stallone.

Why wait, for Floyd to turn a year older, Canelo has already proven he's gonna beat Cotto with his victory over Trout, he isnt ready for Mayweather? so when is Canelo ready Mr.Sulaiman, does Alvarez still need to beat Lara, or Kirkland who wasnt fought for over a year.

Alvarez has lots of options next year, win or lose against Mayweather.

I agree with Check_hooks? wtf... lol yeah he'd probably make more fighting Cotto, but I'd rather see him fight Floyd. Still that's what it'll come down to I think, if canelo takes the pay cut in this fight to make bigger bank down the road, or if he's trying to cash out early.

Saul Alvarez vs. Miguel Cotto would be a great bout that
would generate many pay per view buys considering that
great Mexico-Puerto Rico rivalry fans of both fighters will
buy this event on pay per view however, Miguel Cotto is
way past his prime and a very "shot" fighter. How good is
is legacy going to be if he losses his last three fights left
in boxing? Miguel Cotto says that he is only going to fight
three more times and then, he's going to retire. The ideal
opponent for Miguel Cotto would be Vanes Martirosyan at
Junior Middleweight and providing Erislandy Lara gets past
Alfredo "Pero" Angulo then, Erislandy Lara is the mandatory
challenger for the WBC Jr. Middleweight Champion "Canelo"
Alvarez that fight should be televised on regular Showtime
Championship Boxing not on pay per view closed circuit tv.

Isn't it a "smart business decision" to fight Cotto instead anyone else outside of Mayweather/Pac???

Why are Cotto & Floyd stans *****ing? They seem to care about a boxer's $$$ over anything so I don't get it.
