I don't often agree with Sulaiman, but in this case I think he's 100% right. I'd like to see nothing more than Canelo giving Floyd a beating, but at this point I see Mayweather winning by comfortable UD.

Cotto dont deserve a shot. Lara and Molina have done more in the weightclass. Floyd vs Canelo is not going to happen. They need to stop chasing that fight.

Canelo-Cotto = Canelo-Shane. We all know how that turned out.....

It would have been a staring match, right?? Floyd sucks, period. Mares - Ponce was good. they have warrior souls.

buy this event on pay per view however, Miguel Cotto is
way past his prime and a very "shot" fighter. How good is
is legacy going to be if he losses his last three fights left
in boxing? Miguel Cotto says that he is only going to fight
three more times and then, he's going to retire. The ideal
opponent for Miguel Cotto would be Vanes Martirosyan at
Junior Middleweight and providing Erislandy Lara gets past
Alfredo "Pero" Angulo then, Erislandy Lara is the mandatory
challenger for the WBC Jr. Middleweight Champion "Canelo"
Alvarez that fight should be televised on regular Showtime
Championship Boxing not on pay per view closed circuit tv.
        Good post!

That ain't happening - too much work for Cotto....

Blatant cherrypick by Canelo. Cotto is coming off two loses. Regardless Canelo will pummel Cotto and possibly stop him. Too big, too strong, too etc etc...

I'd rather see him against Lara or Martyrosian (however you spell it)

            Or just say Vanes, LOL

Lara will be waiting for a shot like someone waiting for a bus in LA - it ain't coming.....

it's all about styles here. Cotto (IF he would be a dedicated body puncher to Canelo could hurt him... he already has stamina issues, so staying in his chest and getting him constantly to the body would be key... Canelo would have no legs by the 6-8th round if Cotto could pull that off.

yeah, at the catchweight fight and then the OTHER catchweight try tried to get him at.. and Cotto wants that clown roach as his trainer? roach knows **** about pure boxing ability... which is why manny was always outclassed against JMM and always got robbed. manny fights guys who come straight ahead... why do you all think he didn't really want to take the tests? He knew he wasn't going to beat Floyd and they wanted every possible advantage.

This is the smartest thing I've heard anyone say in reference to this fight. Canelo is caught up in his own hype. He's not on the level of Mayweather and anyone who thinks differently is just desperate for a Mayweather loss.
