I agree with you. People don't see the big picture. They are buying into Arums hype of two offensive minded fighters with firepower. That is not the case in this fight. Rios got hit a lot in his last fight, he just stood there. Once Alvarado started dancing around (and he has terrible footwork), Rios was confused. PAC has pretty decent footwork. On top of that, a fighter who just got KO isn't gonna sit there and trade. He is going to get in, throw some combos, and get out. Rios is just gonna stand there and be a punching bag.

Rios' only chance of victory is to land a KO shot and put Pac out again. Rios can certainly take a beating and has a lot of pride. Tough to imagine Pac getting the stoppage. This is going to be a fan friendly slugfest. Manny is either going to turn back the clock or get put to sleep.

Fight should be a corcker whilst it lasts, hopefully Pacquiao can pull of a dominant performance. His presence as a top 3 fighter is missed in my honest opinion. As much as I respect fighter like Ward, Rigondeaux and Martinez, they don't draw a fraction of his attention.

I just don't see how Rios can win this fight. He is too slow and will find it very difficult to land clean punches against the unorthodox Pacquiao, who likes to throw rapid-fire combination punches from different angles. By the time Brandon is ready to load up on his shots, Manny would have a completed a seven punch combination before reloading himself, to land another series of them; This time from a different angle. In my opinion, Manny is just too fast for the shop worn Brandon and should stop him by way of TKO in the 9th Round.

I'm looking forward to this action packed scrap. This should be considered nothing more than a tune up of sorts, and also to get an idea if Pac is done or if his chin is indeed cracked. Rios is a hard hitter and a slugger, and while Pac is known to destroy those type of fighters, he will still get hit and that's where we'll see what he's capable of after getting knocked out.

If he does get past Rios, bigger and better things are to come.

As far as PPV goes, I don't think I'll buy it unless the price is lower than usual Top Rank PPV prices and only if the undercard is good.

I cannot wait to see this fight. This will be a slug fest!!! Manny is the favorite but it will depend on his ability to take a punch after that brutal KO by Marquez and Rios is a bigger puncher than Marquez. Very interesting, risky fight for Manny. Will definitely watch it!!!!
