They will always come up with someone until he loses to say "see he wasn't that good to begin with."Also, he's basically saying he's worked hard to be on top and Canelo needs to earn his dues like did. By fighting Floyd, canelo is taking a short cut to the top. The only known challenge he's fought so far is trout.

I want to see the fight also, but I feel Ginger is not proven and, like Floyd said, he won't get credit. With that said, I hope Floyd doesn't go and fight some washed up fighter or someone who also hasn't done enough to earn a shot. His choices are slim, but he needs to understand that being in the sport so long means there is a generation who wasn't around to see his challenges, and in order to be relevant he has to face their generation of fighters. I was around from the beginning of his career, so I know what the environment was like surrounding his bouts and all the so-called expert picking against him, and who is opponents were at the time he's faced them.
Who's more proven, Guerrero or Canelo? Sounds like a trick question, eh? It's shocking that the ginger hypejob probably built a better record already than the "6x 4 division champ"

Now I agree the likes of Khan and Ortiz are more proven, proven they suck.

imagine if he fought williams at 147?

imagine if he fought margo at 147?

imagine if he fought a prime cotto at 147?

imagine if he fought a prime pac at 147?

imagine if he fought a prime martinez and canelo at 154?

all imagines, yet his floyd *****s will have you believe he has defeated them instead of ducking them
Yes, he would have lost to all of them because Floyd's a C Level fighter, And there's no way in hell he could've beaten any prime fighters because he doesn't have the skill, we get it.

I thought Guerrero was a prime 6 time champion in 4 different weight classes. Maybe he was crap opposition for Floyd but great opposition for someone else? This game is getting confusing, sheesh.

I really don't think that many people would. Floyd has disappointed me consistently by not fighting the fighter I wanted him to fight, when I wanted to see the fight.

If he fought Canelo, I could truly say this would be maybe the first time he had done that. So, all his fans can keep saying how easily he would dominate if they fought. I for one don't believe that. Make your hero prove it! But I am sure he won't. I would be willing to bet anyone of that, but there would be no way to make a loser pay.

I was sure he would never fight Pacman when the fanboys kept saying it will happen, this year, next year,no next year. It never happened and no they both didn't duck, It was entirely on Mayweather who ducked.

Pacman don't duck threats. Mayweather is the maestro of ducking.
Did Pacquiao refuse $40 million to fight Floyd? All this who ducks who is ridiculous, they both could have made the fight at different points. You keep blaming or saying he ducked people, well let's consider some facts, they may or may not be relevant to haters but they had to play a part. Cotto- was a Top Rank fighter around the time Floyd left, Mosley- was asked point blank after one of his would Floyd be next, he said he was going on vacation and had to have some dental surgery, Margarito was a Top Rank again, we know that Arum and Floyd don't like each other. AGAIN not offering excuses, but this stuff has relevence in the whole equation, maybe popular opinion feels like he ducked but we'll never really know.

So you're saying that Floyd and Canelo are equals in terms of skill and dominance? Because if not, wouldn't that make this another "sparring match with an overmatched opponent"?

and, yeah, he would have demolished Margarito, but for some reason, he deemed Margarito a risk, and instead took the fight with Baldomir instead.

Valentino, no one (well, ,ost) aren't questioning Floyd's skills or dominance. I question his desire to prove the greatness against the best competition. He is more businessman than great Boxer - Fine. But, he actually has the balls to say he's the greatest bc fighters like Ali and SRR and SRL had losses on their record - bc they challeneged themselves to things Floyd would never do.
If SRL fought in this generation no doubt he wouldve fought Pacquiao, Martinez and Canelo - bc that's what Leonard did vs Hagler, Hearns, Benetiez and Duran. He challenged himself vs the absolute best competition he could
Mayweather made excuses, Pacquiao made excuses, stop it.
