please. people get fights bc of popularity all the time. u think Gatti got a fight wit Mayweather instead of Tszyu bc his resume at 140 was better. lol. obviously not.
Plus, he just beat the other top guy in the division - Trout. He's done just as much as Guererro did to "earn" the fight; plus, the fight will see at least 1.7 - 1.8 mil.
If Floyd didn't think it would be a tough fight, he wouldn't be making excuses

I think what he is saying is that if he beats Canelo then the fans will want to see him fight more opponents in that weight class or possibly higher. I think that Floyd really doesn't want to fight at 154 but he probably doesn't have a issue fighting Canelo if its just only Canelo just for that risk factor. Its just what would happen after he beats him. People will say he has to fight GGG or something after and that is what he is probably getting at. I think he does want to fight Canelo and then spend the rest of his fights at 147.

There are plenty of good fights for him. If he fights 2 of top 5 and 3 of bottom 5 that would be great. unfortunately, we'll be lucky to get 1 of top 5, and will probably get fights vs guys not on the list like Ortiz and Berto
those are credible fights, but not big fights
Floyd's hinting at ducking accusations from people
if he ignores Alvarez, people will label it a duck
no one else on that list has enough support to warrant that accusation
the next closest thing is the JWW series winner
Floyd will have to fight him if he's not going through JMW
and he absolutely isn't gonna be trying to clean out JMW
all he can do is pray someone JWW-JMW goes on a big KO streak
other than that, nothing is gonna get people really excited
Floyd has no opponents left who have what Tony, Cotto, and Pac had
the names on that list won't get the boxing world buzzing

I believe Floyd will fight and defeat Canelo and people still won't be satisfied. Someone said earlier "if Floyd was white he would be celebrated worldwide" and I know it's true. Anything but an African American!!!! But only the ignorant try to deprive Floyd of his much deserved props but history has no choice but to give him his props. 44-0, 5 World Titles in 5 different divisions against all legit champions. MAD PROPS TO PBF!!!!!

Canelo is overmatched too...let him earn it..jeez. what is so wrong with that? Trout beat any aging Cotto and Canelo beat him. That really isn't a not worthy opponent. Fight Lara, Kirkland or Golovkin or Martinez or Chavez. Do something to earn the right. He's not even atop P4P guy. There are other guys just as or more deserving than him based purely on their resume.

That is the biggest load of CRAP ever!! They didn't say if Sugar Ray Leonard was white, if Oscar was white. They BOTH were called the "Golden Boy" and no one said if they were white. Floyd did not endear himself to fans like Oscar and Ray did for very obvious reasons.

If Floyd does fight on Sept. and his hand is not a problem he might be the sharpest Floyd we have seen in some time. The layoff will be much less of what we have seen of him lately

The biggest stars in boxing history are African-American. Seriously, the race card is the ******est thing anyone could ever offer as a reason for people not liking Mayweather's douchebag ass.
