Have to disagree with the majority here...don't mean to be contrary for its own sake but what I saw was about four unanswered shots rocking Ponce. Am I remembering the stoppage wrong? I mean does someone remember something different? Keep in mind that Ponce did throw one shot but it was thrown as Nadie declared the fight stopped....just a split second before.

Honestly it was so poor. Watch again man i guarentee u will feel different, his eyes were focused his hands were up and he fired two shots that had some meat on them as Nady boobed the call

It was bad stoppage. Nady should've let Ponce take a few more shots before calling it off. Ponce was the champ so he deserved some extra time to recover. Plus, he is a tough fighter and I've never seen him give up. With that being said, we were robbed of a highlight reel/KO of the year nominee. Mares dropped 4 or 5 right hand bombs on his chin and Ponce did nothing to evade them. I wouldn't let the stoppage mar Mares' excellent performance.
